James Clark Obituary

James Edward Clark Jr., 66, of Buchanan, Va., passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009. He was born on November 23, 1943, in Roanoke, a son of the late Annie Belle Smith Clark and James Edward Clark Sr. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Sharon Kathleen Clark; and his sister, Janet Grider. He retired from James River Limestone with 37 years of service, attended Jennings Creek Gospel Church, and enjoyed trout fishing, hunting and camping. Surviving are his sons, Darryl Clark and his wife, Jeanne, Doug Clark and his wife, Melinda; grandchildren, Brian Clark, Jennifer Clark, and Matthew Clark; and his brothers, Donald C. Clark, David Clark, and Danny Clark. The graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan, with the Rev. Eugene Mills officiating. The family received friends on Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, Daleville.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father. We were blessed to have such a good neighbor and friend. I got to spend some time with James last week talking about hunting and family. We will miss him and he will always be in our hearts.
