Mary Tebault Obituary

Mary Sue Martin Tebault, 65, of Pearisburg, Va., passed away at her home Thursday evening, December 24, 2009. Mrs. Tebault was born on November 21, 1944 in Louisa, Kentucky and was a daughter of the late Ioakie Ann Robinett. She was a retired paramedic and was the first woman paramedic on the Giles Ambulance Service. She is survived by her husband, Michael Gregory Tebault of Salem; Robin Elizabeth Meredith and husband Johnny Meredith of Narrows, Va.; two grandchildren, Philip J. Bowles and wife Angie of Peterstown, W.Va., Pamela B. Walker and husband Josh of Bozoo, W.Va.; six great-grandchildren, Heaven, Aalyah, Anton Bowles and Tyler, Sierra and Carson Walker. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Pastor Greg Cox officiating with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg. Online condolences can be sent to the family at givensfuneral homecom.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Mary. She was a special person to me during the all too brief few years that I knew her. She loved to speak about the New River as being "her river" and she defended and protected it passionately. She will be missed by those who understood and loved her.

Mary was the best friend that I have ever had and I will miss her deeply as will everyone else that has ever been in contact with her she was always ready to go that extra mile for anyone.She is where she belongs in heaven.I just wish I had met Mary a lot sooner then I did my time with her was to short.
