Forest I wish I would have tried harder to see you at christmas. Not a day goes by that I dont think of you. I love and miss you so much! I still remember that day at Papaws when you told me you were goin in the marines and I told you I was proud of you cuz I knew what kind of a man you would become. When we talked at christmas this year you were braggin bout how you had more tattoos than me now, and I laughed and told you I would catch up soon. You and I could never resist a competition. lol. When you left for Japan and I left for Iraq I prayed everyday that you would keep your but there and stay out of that hell called the sandbox. I was so afraid I would lose you if you came there. Little did I know I would lose you when we were both stateside. I know your up there sayin "stop being a baby Ash, be a soldier and suck it up", but I cant. I miss you so much and I cant stop crying. All I can do is hope you are happy now and that the pain will ease with time. I love you Forest, my cousin, my marine. You will be greatly missed.

Forest,

As days past I seem to want to think that this is all just a horrible dream and that I will wake, but I realize that this dream is never going away. You were more than an amazing guy and more than a wonderful friend. You had all those special qualities about you. When I first came to Franklin County High School you were among the first to greet me and from there our friendship continued. We all want you back in our lives but sometimes we have to let go of the things we love the most. However, I can now look up at the sky and smile simply because I know that you are up there looking over us. I love you and will miss you more than anyone will every know.

I've been thinking since Sat. and still can't find the right words to say; I never thought I would have to try and find words as to how I feel while we were still young...I miss you Forest; I just wanna pick up my phone, call you and have you give me that famous laugh and tell me everything will be ok! But its not going to be ok, I need my best friend! I know you are in such a better place and you are now a wonderful guardian angel but I still miss you! I can't wait until the day that we meet back up again...I will cherish all of the good times we had together and I promise that you will always be a part of my life...We all really need you by our sides watching over us this weekend; I love and miss you Charles Forest Wright!

Well as I see it Forest layed down to sleep on this earth and he woke up in Heaven. God received another handsome Angel. What a reunion that must be going on after Forest visited with Jesus and then to be reunited with his family and friends that have gone on before him. As others have written what joy you brought to so many people all over the world. Thank you for being a Marine. May God Bless....Ginny Shaffer and Lindsay Fitzgerald ( cousins from Brownsburg,VA

I just heard the news earlier today. I regret not having seen you in quite some time. I will always remember your smile and goodwill. Those hot summer days of football practice will never be forgotten as you will help reinforce those memories forever. Thanks for always being a friend.

When God took my Daddy I thought that was the worst I'd see.
But,God had another plan for me.

He took my brother that was younger than me.
But,God wasn't through with me.

God took me nephew two years ago and I thought God was through
But,God had another plan

God has taken my 1st born grandson
PLEASE God be through!

Don't know where I'm going.
Don't know what to do.
This is the hardest thing I've had to deal with.
Simply because it's you.

I thought you would always be here.
But I guess that isn't true.
So now I just sit here trying to make it threw.

I'm going to miss you deeply.
Things will never be the same.
Simply because its you.

Love You

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
