William Squier Obituary

William A. (Bill) Squier, 65, of Troutville, Va., passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Squier. Bill was a loving husband, a wonderful father and grandfather and is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marina Squier; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Lisa Johnson, and Billy and Christy Squier; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Marc Connolly; his mother, Norma Squier; and three grandsons and two granddaughters, Michael, Elizabeth, Marty, Sean, and Jordan. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Oakey's East Chapel with Pastor Eugene Kitney officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA or the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Oakey's East Chapel, 540-977-3909.

Rena, Billy and Sharon, this is so hard to do because I had gained a father in 1994. I am here with you all and share in the wonderful times we all had when Bill was here. I miss him so much and pray we will lean on each other through time. May God Bless you.

Tante Ina, Billy and Sharon...
Sorry it has taken me some time to leave a note here but I wanted to share with you that Uncle Bill has been really the only Uncle Nils and I have known and your loss is ours as well. I am glad we could be there with you to share with you, to remember, to cry and be a family together through this.
