Betty E. Havice

Betty E. Alley Havice, 81, resided in Painesville, Ohio, for five years and was formerly of Mentor, Ohio. She died on Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Lake Med Nursing Home. She was born on March 23, 1928, in Roanoke, Va., and worked as machinist in Lake County, Ohio. Survivors include her children, Patricia Anne Parsons, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Courtland Trenor Jr., of Baltimore, Md., Randolph (Patty) Trenor, of Mentor, Ohio, Marilyn Kay (Joe) Brookhart, of Easton, Md., Goodrich Trenor, of Baltimore, Md., and Horatio (Patricia A. Stallings) Trenor, of Canton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-greatgrandchildren; and two brothers, Robert (Betty) Alley, of Salem, Va., and Thomas (Cory) Alley, of Willoughby, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill; one greatgranddaughter; two brothers, Morris Alley and Odell Alley; and parents, Haskell ( Nellie ) Alley. At Mrs. Havice's request no calling hours will be held. Service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Sherwood Memorial Park, 1250 East Main St., Salem, Va.
