Bettie Joan Danisch

Bettie Joan DeLong Danisch, 75, of Roanoke, Va., went to be with her Lord on Monday morning, January 11, 2010, at her home. Joan was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lelia DeLong; her brothers, Thomas C. DeLong and Lewis H. DeLong; and her husband, Herman J. Danisch. Surviving are her daughters, Sherri C. Sink, of Roanoke, and Sandy C. Moon, of Wilmington, N.C.; son, David T. Crowder and wife, Tina, of Vinton; grandchildren, Megan Slater, Kenzy Crowder, Kassidy Crowder and Brendan Draughn; and Jackson, the dog. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Jay Fields officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
