Olivene Wilkins Shelton

Olivene Wilkins Shelton, 86, of Gambrills, Md., and formerly of Roanoke, Va., died on Thursday, January 7, 2010. She was born on June 17, 1923, in Needmore, W.Va. She is survived by her daughter, Rene' and husband, David Wheeler, of Gambrills, Md.; son, Andy and wife, Stephanie Shelton, of Chantilly, Va.; grandchildren, Gregory and wife, Bre Wheeler, and Ashleigh Shelton; greatgrandson, Caleb Wheeler; and brothers, Buddy (Hugh) Wilkins, of Baker, W.Va., Balf Wilkins, of Winchester, Va., and Charles Wilkins, of Baker, W.Va. A Celebration of Life service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Bob Parsley officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010, and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
