Edna Janney Obituary

Edna Marie (Eva) Janney, 89, of Richfield Retirement Community, Salem, Va., passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010. Born January 30, 1921, she was a long time resident of Floyd County and was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Arra Clower Eane; her husband, Alfred Janney; her brothers, Gordon, Garland and Ward Eanes; and her granddaughter, Patty Charlene (Charlie) Janney. She is survived by her son, Kenneth and wife, Margie, and their children, Greg and wife, Debbie, Scott and wife, Deborah, Dewayne and wife, Sandy; her son, Charles Wayneard and his daughter, Edna (Eddy); her daughter, Alfadean and husband, Tommy, and their daughter, Ashley; her son, Jasper William and wife, Lorraine, and their sons, Michael Darnell, Chris Jay and wife, Tina; also Chris' two children; great-grandchildren, Brandy, Emily, Lauren, Danielle, Natalie, Nicole, and Meredith; and her sister-in-law, Gladys Eanes, of Check, Va. Services will be held 2 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010, at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Avenue. Elder Junior Conner will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Vale Cemetery, Floyd County. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2010. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.
