I knew him only from his occasional television appearances as "Roughhouse Fargo," in which he created perhaps the most unique character in professional wrestling.

I am glad to learn he was also a happy and much loved man in private life. My condolences to the family. May God comfort you!

I had the honor of meeting Mr. Fargo at the Charlotte Fanfest in Jan, of 2004. As a young ref in the business, it was truely an honor to share a few moments with a man who's work I admire. He signed a ref shirt for me, complete with the old NWA patch. You will never be forgotten Sonny Roughhouse Fargo. My condolences to your family. Rest in peace.

I grew up in the Memphis,TN area, where the Fabulous Jackie Fargo was my favorite wrestler...I recall every year or so, he would bring the "Nut" Roughhouse to the Memphis area to bring a huge draw...a great angle which was worked perfectly. Sonny was great-God Bless Jackie & the rest of the family.

What wonderful memories Mr. Faggart gave so many young people in his sports days. It was an honor to have watched him, it is always funny to hear people say; "Wrestling is fake", any one that knew Mr. Faggart knew he was very much a gentleman and was the real thing.
