Anna Maria Elisabeth Luttmer Dille

Anna Dille Obituary

Anna Maria Elisabeth Luttmer Dille 1929 ~ 2008 KAYSVILLE - Anna Maria Elisabeth Luttmer Dille (Lesha) completed her earthly mission on Friday, April 11, 2008. She was born in Groningen, Holland to Johan F. and Roelfje S. Luttmer on October 19, 1929. She was the 9th of 15 children. She, and two sisters, migrated to the United States in 1948 after World War II. Anna married her lifelong companion, Tharon K. Dille on January 20, 1951 in Gooding, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She worked for the Davis School District as a cook for 16 years. Her greatest achievements were the full-time missions to Louisiana, Pupua, New Guinea and St. George, as well as multiple service missions she and her husband served from 1980 to 2007. During that time they also served as ordinance workers in the Ogden and Bountiful Temples. She especially loved giving tours on Temple Square to groups who spoke Dutch. Anna was never shy about sharing her powerful testimony of Jesus Christ and the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Whenever she traveled, she made friends that she kept in contact with for years. Her life of service and her energetic personality will be sorely missed. She was a great example of charity, service and devotion and lived a life worthy of Heavenly Father's choicest blessings. Anna is survived by her dear husband and six children, Elsa (Dale) Zweifel, Linda (Greg) Sanders, Annette (Jim) Beazer, Kim (Carol) Dille, Brent (Susan) Dille, and Diana Hyatt; 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Wilhelmina (Dale) Teeples, Roelina Greenhalgh, Frederika Seele, Jean (Tom) Speredon, Geertje (Harry) Winkel, Gerhard (Janet) Luttmer, and Grant (Margaret) Luttmer. The family would like to thank all those who cared for Anna and the many visits, cards and flowers she received while she was ill. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 201 South 600 East. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, and Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Dear Linda,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. I'll always remember her smile and saying hello. I remember, too, your parents walking to and from church and ALWAYS holding hands. Even at young age I thought that it was such a sweet jesture and "true love!"
My prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Annette Larsen Hardy
