Matthew was a companion of mine in good ole Dallas, Oregon. This has just come to my attention and I'm shocked! I will always remember his stories and life lessons and take them to heart, he really lived life and enjoyed every minute of it! I will always remember you and miss you dearly Elder Peterson.

Matt really was a great guy. We had a lot of fun together. While he was on his mission in Bend he spent many hours eating at our home. On occasion he even cooked...and made a video of it to prove it. He was very spiritual and always had a great prescriptive on life. He enjoyed debating with my dad about subjects neither actually knew much about. When I moved to Provo we spent a bit of time together. My roommates all loved him even though he said they were too young or immature. Matt was always promoting Stephen's CD everywhere we went. He did always have to drive...even when we were in my car. He was such a great funny man. My family and I will always remember him with a bright smile on his face.

I have so many good memories with Matt... Jumping off bridges, road trips- and he ALWAYS had to drive- movies, sliding down water tubes under the highway... He always kept us laughing. I'm sure going to miss him. Peterson and Nelsons families, you are in my prayers. We are so lucky to have the knowledge that he is with our Heavenly Father now. We're all going to miss him.

To Jean Petersen and Marcia Dobrinz: I'm so sorry for the passing of your grandson/nephew. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. And isn't it a great comfort and blessing to know that families are forever! Matthew is now serving another mission and teaching the gospel of our Savior to those who need to learn of it's wonderful blessings on the other side. And I'm sure he will also be watching over all of his family and is very grateful for all that you taught him. God Bless, Sincerely, Glenn, Camille, Monica and Jared Protti. Of the Hunter 15 Ward.
