Jane Bagley Obituary

Jane Bagley 1926 ~ 2009 Our mother, grandmother and friend to all, Jane Bagley passed away peacefully Friday morning surrounded by loved ones.Jane was born Feb 20th 1926 in Los Angeles, California. She was daughter of James Lane and Estelle Dunyon. She graduated from Granite High then continued on to the University of Utah where she met her husband, Clint Bagley. They were married Sept 20th 1947. Jane spent the next few decades raising her sons. Some of her favorite memories were based upon the antics of Barry and Bob (Dumb and Dumber). Life was a party; Jane was the life of that party and everyone was invited. Her door was always open to family and friends everyone was always welcome. Jane and Clint were known for their Legendary Christmas Day open house. Jane had many close friends and she was an active member of the Menopausal Maidens which met monthly. Jane had an unbelievably beautiful and contagious smile. Her sense of humor was quick, dry and unfailing. Her timing was impeccable and she was a joy to talk to. Jane was preceded in death by her husband Clint, son Bob. Jane is survived by her son Barry (Ann), grandchildren Dustin, Brittany, Waylon Alsbury and Allison Lewis. Special thanks to Dr. Beth Hanlan and to the staff at the Wellington for the care and love showed to Jane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Humane Society of Utah. Her son, Barry, would also like to give a very special thanks to his wife, Ann and her family, who without them. Well he could not imagine!!! A celebration of her life will be at 5460 Indian Rock Road, Holladay, Utah 84117, from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday March 25th. Friends and Family are welcome.

Jane,
Well your memorial sure was a hit! What a great turnout! Our indelible memory of it will be what Jimmy Stewart experienced in "It's a Wonderful Life". You touched so many people in so many ways and all were gathered to reflect. Fair winds grand lady, fair winds...

While my relationship with Jane was brief, we decided quickly that under different circumstances we would have shared wardrobes and jewelry like sisters. It didn't take but our first visit to discover we shared the same sense of humor. What a bright light she brought into my life as she always greated me with her great smile. I'm grateful she is at peace. It was an honor to know her. Michelle - Haven Hospice

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother. Although I did not know her or ever meet her I felt like I knew her from some of the stories I use to hear about her from both of you. You mentioned you had moved the last time I saw you at Dan's. I miss seeing both of you. My love and prayers are with you and your children.
Love,
Anne Sill Maxfield
