I only met Christine once but I found her to be a kindred soul and utterly enjoyable company. As for your loss Chris, I feel it more because of our close friendhship which has endured the years. When I think of your loss I am reminded of a great quote by Marcel Proust:
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: They are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.
I am certain that the nurturing Christine provided you and your lovely daughters will make you blossom.

Chris,
I first met Christine during the Spudman in 2005. I will always remember her as an incredible person with an iron will. Her zest for life was contagious and is something that will always be remembered. She fought with passion and dignity. Anyone who knew her would have expected nothing less. I am blessed to have known her. Our hearts go out to you and the girls. My families thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met Christine last year when she put together a Ragnar Relay team for 100% for Kids. She was amazing with pulling everything together, and I remember thinking how put-together and generous she was. I am so sorry for your loss, and glad to have known her for just that little bit.

Dear Chris,
You may not even remember me but I used to work with you years ago at Skaggs Homecenter. My name was Carrie Adamson then, now Carrie Allen. I was looking through the newspaper and came across your wife. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Christine sounds like she was a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your girls during this hard time and I hope that you will be comforted. I'm sure she will live in your hearts forever. I have wondered how you have been over the years and am very sorry that you have been faced with this hard time. May the days ahead bring you peace.

Although Christine's presence in my life was brief, she was so open and welcoming that it was easy to call her Friend. What an absolutely radiant woman! I deeply admire her strength, beauty, and passion for living. The last time I saw Christine, she told me that she was planning to get back on her bike soon---a fighter to the end. We are all so incredibly lucky to have known her.

To the Dear Brimley Family,
I want to let you know how much I adore Christine. She was the first to welcome me when I started running with the 'Blacksheep' running group. She was there to encourage me as a new triathlete as well. What a beautiful woman inside and out. It is my endeavor to remember to treat others as I always experienced from her, with pure love.
Thank you so much Christine. I miss you.
Love Always,
Rachel

Dear Chris & Girls,
I am so sorry for your loss, Christine was an amazing woman! I first met her at a triathlon up in Burley, Idaho. At first impression, I was amazed at what an beautiful woman she was, both inside and out! That smile of hers was infectious! Chrsitine introduced me to a trail run that she called "Cucina". I ran there the other day and couldn't stop myself from choking up...there are so many places I'll go now and think about how Christine touched my life. She was taken from us way to early, but I know she is free now from the grasp of that horrible disease.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Christine, you will be missed greatly!

Chris, Paige and Peri,
What a courageous and wonderful person Christine was, and still is. Her example is an inspiration to us all. We were amazed at how she was able to put aside her illness for the sake of her family. She was always on hand with anything involving her daughters, whether at Cossgriff, St. Ambrose or at ther sporting events. We mourn your loss but are grateful for the high standards Christine set for all of us to model our lives around. Christine is one of those rarest individuals and we are all fortunate having met her. We know that her memory will live on with her family as her legacy.

I worked with Christine many years ago before she married Christopher. I remember the garden wedding and how beautiful it all was. I was so shocked to see her in the paper, it has brought back many memories. I lost my husband last year and I know how hard this is, especially for the children. My heart and prayers are with you. You were blessed to have such a special woman in your lives.
God Bless you all.

Chris, Peri, and Paige,
I'm reminded of Christine each time I wear our "twin" black boots - she got the better deal and kiddingly loved to rub it in. I'm reminded of her when I make the granola recipe she shared with me...(after I ate 1/2 a cookie sheet of it that she had just made) and I'm reminded of her when I wear the necklace that she helped me make one entire afternoon after dropping the kids off at school. I was amazed by her when she'd show up with homemade marshmallows for a class treat, always looking like she just stepped out of a magazine. She amazed me again when I called her to talk, and she was the one making ME feel better about her cancer. I will be forever grateful to have known her, and to call her a friend. How lucky you all are to be so deeply loved by her. She will always be with you. Peace.

As anyone who knew Christine would say, she was happy! All that we can say now is that we will help the Brimley family as much as possible. Also that Christine knew when it was time to go and to get out of her pain. Of course we also must say that she will be sorely missed and that she was an inspiration to me and many others. Christine was a strong amazing woman during her Cancer and before. We all love her and wish that she could still be with us today, but Peri, Paige, Chris she is in you! I can see her already even in Peri but especially in you Paige! It's okay to be sad, but don't let this event put a damper on your lives! You know Christine wouldn't have wanted that!
Christine was always strong, and was a Lance Armstrong to me until the end, and even now, no one can be as big of a roll model as she is to me right now! THANK YOU CHRISTINE!!!

Dear Chris, Paige, and Peri
You had the most fun, loving Mom and the most beautiful. She was so amazing. Whenever I would come to your house she was there with a smile from ear to ear. She will be missed by everyone that knew her and loved by more. She was great at everything she did especially raising two great kids. I knew her ever since I met Paige and have been cheering for her in the fight of cancer.

Dear Chris and family,
My name is Karla Pardini and I am the Director of Child, Youth and Family at the Jewish Community Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Peri was enrolled with us last week for Specialty Camp and also next week for Bernie Camp. We knew Peri was struggling with this and we tried to give her extra love and support last week. We will do our best to watch over her next week (and other weeks too)in camp and make sure her time spent here is active and full of life, just the way her mom would want it. We send our sincerest thoughts your way and hope you know Peri will be well taken care of this summer. If we can help in other ways with Peri or Paige please let us know.
Sincerely,

Friends, I was always impressed with Christine, she said and did it her way and if sometimes that was a problem, to her, it wasn't.
There was nothing phony about her. She was absouletly sincere. I had an opportunity to do some work for her and she eneded up liking it, I knew it was OK. She was the kind of woman my brother liked. Fit, beautiful, full of ambition, wonderful cook, wonderful mom, athletic, and the list goes on. I see her as a class act, a winner, who overcame a lot and what she did, she did it right. I had a chance to put my arms around her and hug her before she became sick and told her I loved her and I do, and I will hold that memory the rest of my life. May God smile upon you and hold you in his everlasting arms, Love Tony(Chris's younger Brother)

Dear Chris and Girls,
I had the amazing opportunity to meet Christine about six months ago. We met for lunch to talk about the Raggnar Relay and from there I spoke to her several times on the phone. I couldn't believe the beauty Christine had inside and out. She radiated with hope and strength. She never gave up and was always so couragous on the phone. She spoke highly of her daughters. Her love and strength will always be with you througout your lives and you'll never be alone. She will always be with you.
You'll be in my prayers.

I love how an Erma Bombeck quote was a fave of Christine's, "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have one bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me."
I wish I could say I swam with Christine, she was faster at that and every other sport we shared. A good day for me would be if I could keep her in sight while running or swimming. I would catch up with Christine in the locker room before or after swimming or at the end of a running race where she'd have arrived way ahead of me.
When I was tired at the end of the day, she was always amped up to go home to her family. If it was pizza night or soccer practice she spoke of her family with such love and pride.
I have always been in awe of Christine's athletic prowess while raising such a strong, healthy family. Up at Alta it was hard to tell where her smile stopped and the snow began; an effervescent sparkle of life.
We were talking about Christine just the other night in the locker room. One of the gals mentioned how she remembered her first day at Master's, that's the Christine effect she had on folks; they remember her first day. Anyway, Jennifer said she remembered meeting you and thinking how she would fit right in because of your easy laugh and friendly smile.
Sure have missed you these last months girlfriend. Thank you for blessing us with your talents. Peace.

Chris & Girls,
Christine lives on through each of you, and her memory will guide you through the times when you need her most. She will be with you always in your hearts and souls. And, When you're walking down the street, and you've got her on your mind; she'll be walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. When you celebrate in the future, she'll be the angel overhead with tears of joy and her beautiful smile, and pride in her heart.
We shall always remember her, for she touched our lives only a little, but it was a great honor to know her.

Christine was my friend. She was my cheerleader and I was hers. We swam and rode together (and she ran ahead of me). We danced, made muffins, and went on girly-movie dates together. We celebrated birthdays and planned on growing old (still looking young and racing fast) together. She made me jewelry and I wrote her poems. Sometimes, we laughed until it hurt. Sometimes, we cried until it stopped hurting. I will do both now as I remember her the way she was: vibrant, strong, strong-headed, creative, beautiful, caring, silly, competitive, motherly, sisterly. My friend. Thank you, Chris, Peri and Paige, for sharing your lovely wife and mommy with me.
