I was Bobby's sister-in-law for 25 years and I remember all the camping trips we all would take. He was always the Scrabble King and a fisherman he was....He would catch the fish and I would watch him clean them and he would tell me all about them . What kind they were and where he caught them. He was so much fun. Bobby was a wonderful father to his two sons and he will truly be missed. I am glad I had the chance to know him. Rest in peace Bobby and may God Bless you, Love Cindy Tonne Karlik

Bobby was such a nice person. It was a pleasure knowing him in high school. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. It was good to see him at our 40 year reunion.

My wife and I are saddened to hear about Bobby's untimely passing. We both knew him in class as we attended all the public schools together. My family lived near his and I was in the same Cub Scout den of eight boys. My wife, Marlyn Wendel, sat next to him alphabetically in several classes in high school and they gave each other "Dear Abby" style advice on a daily basis. In later years, we enjoyed seeing him at reunions. Our thoughts are with his family during this time of loss.

Bobby is and always will have a special place in everyones heart, from the time he taught me to ski to all the times he was there for me as a teenager.I loved to fish with him. He was the greatest fishman and loved it. He would always give me tips. Once I was in the middle of the lake and called him and he told me which lure to use and I caught a really big fish. I hope he pays attention to when I'm fishing from now on because he will be with me. I never ever remember him saying a mean thing to me or even being mean to me. I always felt he was a very close brother to me and loved him dearly. I miss him so much and a day doesn't go by that I don't cry. For some reason I just feel like he is still here and always will be with us. He is in a much better place and I feel like he will take good care of us no matter where he is. Thank you for always being there and allowing me to spend the last days of your life with you. I will never forget it. I love you bobby...

My sincerest condolences on your loss. I have known the West family since 1995. Bobby, Kathy and Matthew have been well respected in law enforcement. I learned through observation that Bobby would only pick on the people he liked and / or respected. I feel fortunate Bobby would harass me. One of the last times I talked to Bobby was at Matt and Rachel's wedding. It was easy to see Bobby was very happy. Bobby, thank you for your service to man and the Great State of Texas, God Bless You.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.
I've know Bobby since the second grade and most recently saw him at our 40th high school reunion. I'll never forget the times playing in his families big yard with him and other good friends. He will be missed.

Sometimes .... only time, family and friends will help to heal the pain of losing a loved one. Many of us have already experienced this page in the book of life, so there should be comfort in knowing the circle is large. Time separated Bobby and I, but that smile would have given him away had our paths ever crossed again since high school. We were good buddies back then ........ Best Wishes for his journy today, and condolences to all!

To Bobby's family,
It has been at least 42 years that Bobby and I last were in touch. I regret that. I leave with the family my deepest sympathies. Bobby and I attended school together from first grade to 12th grade, were in the same Cub Scout Den, and were in square dancing together. Bobby was street wise and taught me somethings the teachers at Whittier didn't. I will look forward to joking with Bobby in Eternity.

Most if not all of my high school memories involved Bobby. While we have lost contact over the years, he will be missed in my life. My sincere regrets to his family, mom & dad and Beth for their loss.
