Melissa -

I had the pleasure of getting to know you two during the Iggie years and continued on talking to Donnie every Rampage game I saw him at. I will miss our in between period chats about "what the heck are they doing" and "did you see that fight". Know that he will be missed by those of us that knew him from hockey. Take care and may God bless you and keep you during this challenging time.

Donnie was a Husband, Father and Grandfather, but most of all he was a true friend. Yes, a friend to all who would ask for nothing and give you everything. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during your time of sorrow. We will miss him dearly.

Melissa I am so sorry for your loss. You have been my friend for 15 years and in those 15 years of all my friends you and Donnie had the best marriage of all of us. It was always so clear how much you loved your husband. You were a devoted wife and took such good care of him through his long illness and battle with cancer. You are both in my prayers.

For Donnie and Melissa,

It isn't often that you find two people who care so much for each other. Your long marriage and devotion to each other was an inspiration to me and my girls. It is easy to be together in the good times, but often marriage gets rocky when life gets tough. I remember the great time we had on the lake in 2000. Watching you two together that day, inspired me to get back with the kids father. You were a devoted husband and wife and I know Melissa will be devastated at the loss of her beloved huband.

We have known Donnie and his wife Melissa for over 15 years and extend our heartfelt condolences to Melissa for the courageous battle that she and Donnie have fought together. It has been said that the good die too young, but I'm certain that Donnie has a front row seat at the big hockey game in the great hereafter.

Donny~

You have been part of my life for more years than I can remember and I’m a better person for it, always quick with a joke, lend a helping hand or to teach a young man a lifelong lesson. You have raised three beautiful children who will continue to touch my life for many years. My heart is sad today, because I feel that I need to say good by to a good friend, in the Bible it say’s that your life on earth is only a day in Heaven so let just say that I will see you tomorrow.

Love

To Donnie's family,
We heard of Donnie's passing and wanted to let the family know how much Donnie opened his heart and home to my family for the short time I played hockey in SA.
We often talk about our trips to the lake and what a host Donnie was to us and loved taking our kids out on the sea-doo. Showing the kids how to catch fish with a wiener, they were so amazed.

You will be in our prayers

We had the pleasure of meeting Donnie through his son Mike and grandson Jake. He was a very sweet and respectable man and clearly a great father and grandfather. We would always see him with his son Mike and grandson Jake at hockey games so much that when we continue going, we'll still see him sitting in his seat wearing his hockey jersey with his boys by his side. His family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I wish to express my condolences to Chandler and Devin and to Robin and Andrea. I only had occasion to meet Mr. Sirianni once when Robin introduced us but judging by his two granddaughters whom I had the great pleasure of coaching early in their volleyball careers, I believe he left a great legacy to this world.

Donnie's friendship was very special. He was a very caring person, not only for his family, but also for his friends. We very much enjoyed Donnie and Melissa's company and will miss him greatly. Our God is a loving God and His ways are perfect. One day when we all see Jesus, we will know why Donnie was needed in heaven at such a young age. May God bless those who are now grieving; may He heal their broken hearts; and may He fill their lives with happiness, peace and joy.
