Caston Kalinoski Obituary

Caston Paul (Smokie) Kalinoski went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2008 at age 87 years. Mr. Kalinoski is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruth Marie Kalinoski, his parents, Albert and Agnes (Pawelowski) Kalinowski, 6 brothers and 6 sisters. Caston is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the US Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was very proud to have served his country and often spoke of his experiences. He retired from the San Antonio Police Force having served on the force for 40 years. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 25, 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Alamo Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 26, 2008, 9:15 A.M. at St. Gerard Catholic Church with burial following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:45 A.M. Alamo Funeral Chapels.
