Kaye, Katie & Josh, the service was beautiful today. I wanted to say that I enjoyed working with Max very much. The 2 things I will always remember about Max are the delicious tomatoes he grew in his garden & how he liked to share them. I will also miss the way he would call me & say "Hey Girl, I've got some buiness to write with you". He always left out the "s" when he said business & I got a kick out if every time he said it. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Our family relocated to Shelby in the summer of 1993. I met Max by interviewing for a job at his office on Graham Street. I wasn't just an employee of Jones & Associates because Max and his family always treated me like I belonged to their family. (They jokingly called me their "red-headed stepchild"). Regretfully, we moved away from North Carolina in 2000 and I always missed Max and his family. I still think about all the great people I met while working at his office. Kaye, Katie & Josh - you all know that your family means alot to me and I love you. I stand with you now in faith knowing that we will all see Max again. His membership was only transferred from his earthly church to his heavenly church in the presence of God. With love and prayers.

Somewhere,
a journey begins
at the end
of the worldly existence
we know
Somewhere a path
stretches over the stars
and rivers of memories flow...

Somewhere a silence is heard far away
and the brightness of day fills the night
where the trials of life
are resolved into peace
when a soul finds its way to the Light.

May your faith bring you peace and your memories bring you comfort. My sincere condolences and prayers are with your family.
