Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers ([email protected]) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your son or husband’s sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] with the names and addresses and what they would like to receive. We will send them as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved one who died serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address, as our organization can no longer get family contacts through the military. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne

My deepest sympathies to TSgt John Brown's family and friends. This great loss to all he touched is a tribute to the man that he grew to be both personally and professionally. His dedication to perserving life, even at the risk of his own, is a tribute to the man that lived the Motto. John has now left the 24th, and now he joins his Team mates that went before him on a Greater Mission, because PJ's don't quit, they just change Teams. He now joins my son TSgt Scott Duffman, KIA, Afghanistan 2/18/07.

CALIF.
Bussie I am thankful to know your journey of pain and suffering is no more and that you are now in God's loving care with Jessie and Aunt Freida, what a Blessing you each were in my life, you will live on forever in my heart and the lives of so many others. You lived a life that God would want us all to be like.
Through my young life you really were like a brother, not many people can say that about a cousion. You and Aunt Freida were a God Send to Mama and us kids. Then when you married Jessie she became one to us too.
I was so very Blessed, so many wonderful memories to cherish. Yes Bussie, I know I was a pain in the rear tagging along everywhere when you and Jessie were courting, but you both were so much fun and really I couldn't help myself. I spent many great times at your home in my child hood and your door was always open to us. Then when Sherry came along what fun it was spending time with her, to this day I still can't figure out why Jessie gave her teaspoon of cod liver oil daily, I should have asked her. It was comforting to know as our kids were growing up if God had called us back to HIM that you and Jessie would take over for us, you were both so very special people in my life.
Thank you Bussie for being all that you were and then some to everyone that was Blessed to come into your life.
We weren't able to be there for the service today but we were there in spirit with all the others.
Love and hugs to you,
from Jack and myself.

THE RIGHTEOUS man perishes, and no one lays it to heart; merciful and devout men are taken away, with no one considering that the uncompromisingly upright and godly person is taken away from the calamity and evil to come.
He lived well and with dignity and now he is finally at peace.
Rest in Peace.

I am so sorry for the loss of your love one. God has promised a time of peace when our sons and daughters will be free.(Isaiah 2:4) . . .And he will certainly render judgment among the nations and set matters straight respecting many peoples. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. John will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
I Salute You.
