My son and I ran today to Remember or Fallen Heros. I ran in Remembrance of US Navy Culinary Specialist First Class (CS1) Regina R. Clark. May her sacrifice never be forgotten and her memory always be alive.

Just outside Centralia, there is the Regina R Clark Memorial bridge. I travel over it nearly every day and every day I am thankful for her sacrifice. As a 20 year vet, she and all those who did not return are snuggled in my heart. I did not know her personally, but I recognize her spirit. She was my sister in arms... I will think of her every time I cross that bridge, and look forward to meeting her when I cross that Final Bridge.

I knew Regina several years from our Naval Reserve Unit in Tacoma, Wa.; Fleet Hospital Nine, Det. K.. This was before 9/11. I didn't know of her death till a year later and fell to my knees when I was informed. I can say she was so fun to be around, take P.T. tests with and just an easy going personality. Gosh I miss her smile. May you rest in peace Regi. Your sacrifice to our nation will never be forgotten. Take care ship mate.

CS1 Regina Clark was our camp momma in Fallujah Iraq 2005. The morning of her final mission we sat at the smoke pit and talked about her child and what its like returning to the Middle East after being part of the first gulf war. My sympathies to CS1 Clark's family, fellow sailors and friends. I did not know Regina but I took a picture of her memorial at the Quonset Point Sea Bee Museum. Today, four years later i was looking at old pics and saw the one I took of her and decided to look her up.
It seems she was loved by many and while I did not know her, I had tears in my eyes reading about her. I work for the Navy as a civilian at Naval Station Newport and am a retired Army MP and Vietnam combat veteran.
I am sorry i was not called up to take her place so that she may have lived to see her son Kerry grow up. I lost my wife when my son was 17 so I know how hard it must be for him. My survivor guilt from Vietnam kills me especially when the war takes a fine sailor like CS1 Clark. She will be remembered by this old soldier.

I first met Reggie in Port Hueneme California in 2003 and spent many late nights up talking about our families after a long days worth of training. Like Reggie, I too am a single parent and she
always spoke highly of her family and was so proud of her son. May God bless and keep you and may his peace and love embrace you in her memory and name! She was truely a special person that could evoke a smile in even the toughest of situations....always when it was most needed!!!! Serving in Fallujah with the next group, there is a small corner of the barracks compound called Regina's Corner in her memory within Camp Knott. As a Seabee, we remember our own, both adopted and born. Once a Bee, always a Bee. We keep you close to our hearts.

Reg and I were stationed together in Hawaii and played SB and VB together. We later were roomies and I often watched the ToeHead for her. We have alot of great memories, especially traveling cross country to the Quad Cities and meeting her old friends. I remember having a few too many brewskis at the Quad City Downs! lol. There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

Everybody loved Reg. She brightened up any dark room. We played high school and summer sports together. I will never forget her and her smile. My heart goes out to to Melitta and Kerry. I have only just begun this journey and may not have known your loved one personally.
I extend to you my deepest condolences. No words will ever express the grief those close to this lost treasure are feeling. I can only say that I can share this grief as I too lost a loved one last month. I will continue to pray for the safety of our soldiers and especially the family and friends of our lost hero’s. I only hope the memories will carry us through. I will continue and pray that you also will believe and know that our heavenly father will not give us more than we can handle.
As always I read (and cry) through the memorials of our lost hero’s, So many people have already expressed the things I would also say. I am amazed and take comfort that so many people care. I will always remember Regi as a friend to everyone.
I had known Regi for over 30 years and always considered her my best friend, although we were many miles apart. I kept in contact with her over the years and even went to Hawaii to see her when she was stationed there. Kerry was a new born then, only a few weeks old. Regina and I went through High School together and until she moved and joined the navy we were inseparable, at that time our passion was softball. We played every day in regular leagues and on traveling teams. We were good !! I still play and now every time I go out on the ball field I will remember Regi. I met Reg when we deployed to Iraq in March 2003. She was a dear friend and will be missed. Reg and some of my other shipmates threw me a birthday party while in the sand box along with a big cake. One party I will never forget and her too. We all miss you Reg.

I had the pleasure of meeting CS1 Regina Clark during her time spent at Port Hueneme. Although I did not know her well, I could tell she was an asset to her command. I observed her constantly helping others and she was a positive influence to everyone she came in contact with. I will always remember CS1 Regina Clark by her bright smile and her compassion for others.
She was an inspiration to all that knew her. She was dedicated to the military and it was apparent in her demeanor. She was a "go-getter", never complaining about the long hours that were required of all personnel getting ready for deployment. She was the "SUNSHINE" that brightened the room.
CS1 Clark would stop by my desk to get supplies and often times we would converse about her family. She spoke of her son and mother quite frequently and I could tell she loved them immensely. My heart goes out to her family members but always remember....she loved you!! I could see that love displayed on her face when she spoke of her family.
Although all of her Seabee friends miss her dearly, her spirit lives on amongst us as we remember everything she gave of herself to the military.
She is my Navy HERO!!!!!

I met Regina at Blackhawk College in Moline, Il. She and I were best friends. I talked to her daily via the internet while she was in Iraq. Then nothing. I just learned of her death today, and am sad beyond belief. I hold a picture of her and her son dearly. It is on my fridge at home. I prayed for her daily. Reg was a bundle of energy and joy. Her smile made me laugh, so big and mischievious. I miss her so much and would love to hear from Kerry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I love ya Reg, see ya in heaven one day!

I met CS1 Clark when I was leaving Iraq earlier this year. I knew her for about two weeks, she moved into my room in Fallujah for a day, but then decided she wanted to share a room with two other petty officers. Although I did not know her well, I can see from the entries in this book that her life had an impact on many people. I know she was about my age, near retirement. I know she volunteered to go to Fallujah, as I did. It's hard to understand the randomness of war, and very sad. Thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I served with CS1 Clark in 2003, and didn't really get to know her until after me and the MSR crew got back from Iraq in May. She was always looking for ways to improve unit morale, organizing pizza parties and even a dinner at the Kuwaiti Officer's Club. What struck me about her was her energy. Weekends when we didn't have convoy duty, she liked to get volleyball games together. Wanted me to play, but in 110 degree heat, no way! I said goodbye to her at the Hueneme Reserve Center and promised to write to the address she gave me, but I was swamped at work and home so never got to. So now, Hey Reggie! See ya at the big smoke pit after the game! We miss ya down here girl!

I met Regi like 6 years ago when my mom started working in Fullers Bakery with Regi who worked in the Deli. Regi helped me with all my problems being a teenager and going through rough times. She helped me recover from me trying to hurt myself. Now thanks to her I am great no more hurting. Although I did not serve with her, her loss is felt within our SeaBee family. There are no words to really say to ease your pain. But I'd like to Thank you for her service to America and for her courage to defend our freedoms as well as offer the hope of freedom for those who someday will know the fruits of her sacrifice. I knew Regina through the Naval Reserve and spent some time with her on some ATs. We spent 2 weeks in Arkansas on a project and she was nothing but fun. I am sure she will be missed.

Reggie was a very special person! While being mobilized in 2003 she touched my life in a special way. She helped me get through many tough times. May God bless and comfort her family through these tough times. Family was the most important thing to her as was her love for her career. Although I did not know her, I still and always do feel the loss of a fellow Seabee. Her name will be added to the list of Seabee heros that we have lost in this and every other conflict we have been involved in.
