Hello,
We apologize for being so late in expressing our deepest condolences to you and your family. We want you to know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this holiday season and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of Gregory L. Tull US Army Specialist.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families, friends and others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

Morning old friend,
I have stayed away from yours and others pages though the years, I guess in a way still thinking that you are all still here. I woke up this morning to a phone call that another dear friend has passed, and all I can think about is you. The Team ( Warhawk ) got together last year for Rick's wedding and you had your seat right there in the front, Alone with a few beers that night with your name on them. Just know that your glow and smile still live on and always will has long as any of us are still kicking.

To the family of Spc. Gregory L. Tull:
The Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel Foundation will be honoring your loved one at the non-denominational Christian Memorial Day Remembrance worship service at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, 26 May 2013. We will remember the casualties of the Global War on Terrorism from Minnesota … and the bordering states of Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Outside of the historic Fort Snelling Veterans Memorial Chapel will be a “Memorial Garden” filled with some 300 white crosses bearing the names of the war dead … including your loved one.
The Memorial Garden will be encircled with larger white crosses representing all of the wars of our nation's history and give honor to all who have served in the United States Armed Forces and made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy today. Wreaths will be placed at the foot of each 8-foot cross bearing the number of U.S. Service Members killed in each of America's conflicts.
I would like to extend to your family an invitation to honor us with your presence at worship as we pay tribute to the sacrifice made by your service member and family. Our pastor, Kenneth L. Beale, Jr., will preach a message entitled, “Freedom:Free, but Costly.” At the conclusion of the worship hour, all of the congregation will be invited to silently pay their respects at the garden and there place poppies at each of the crosses. A Memorial Rifle Squad of the Fort Snelling National Cemetery will fire vollies as the US flag is lowered to half-staff and Taps is played. Following your visit to the Memorial Garden, your family is invited to attend an informal reception (weather permitting) outside of the Chapel. The Memorial Garden will remain until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 27 May (Memorial Day).
As this Christian worship service has traditionally been well attended, we would be happy to reserve seating for you and yours. To do so, kindly call (651/286-7296) and leave a voice message indicating your veterans' name and the number of persons attending. For more information about the Foundation or driving directions to the historic chapel at Fort Snelling, visit our website at: www.fortsnellingmcf.org Special rates for nearby hotels will be available. For more information call (651/286-7296) or email the office ([email protected]) and leave your name and contact information.
Also, beginning at dusk (8:30 p.m.) on Saturday 25 May through dawn (6:30 a.m.) on Sunday, 26 May, a “Prayer Vigil for Peace” will be held in the sanctuary of the Chapel. You are invited to stop by, light a candle and place it at the foot of your loved one's cross in the Memorial Garden … and then enter the Chapel for prayer.
If you are not able to attend, we pray that you would find comfort in knowing that our prayers are with you and all of the fallen heroes.
Respectfully,

Hard to believe it has been almost 6 years. I am sure you are looking well after your family; based on a few posts, it sure looks like they are the best of what America and family are all about. I will forever regret my decision to take that road that day, but, even though it has been almost 6 years, I wanted you to know hardly a day goes by that I do not think of you and the selfless sacrifice that was made by you and your family. As I deploy in a few short weeks, my thoughts will be with you, especially on November 25th every year. Semper Fidelis.

Hey Greg!
You would be amazed by the new school being built in Poky! The gym, which you loved, is still the same and it makes me think of you every time I go in there and look at the basketball hoops! The people that live in your old house painted the door bright blue, it looks kind of out of place!ha
I miss you like crazy and think about you all the time! Keep watching out for all of us!

Greg... five years. Seems like yesterday. I held you as long as I could. You were a bit stouter than I am, and I had lost alot of weight... would've held you longer. I don't remember the prayer I said that hour, but I remember that moment I pulled you out of the gun truck. If I had a son, I'd want him to be just like you. A fine young man... attentive and immediately captivating in leadership stouture. Sorry I missed posting last year... spent the time in Afghanistan. You didn't miss anything - Hit was a far better place to be posted. Fear not, Team Warhawk all remember you and are honored to be of service this day five years ago.
To the Tull family - Gregory is remembered and kept alive by many, for he touched many just by his confidence and leadership stature. He was commanded by one of the best Battalion Commanders I've known in my 27 years of duty. He represented his command and his family with tremendous fortitude and honor.
Until next year Greg.
With respect and in our memories,

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Gregory, but I am remembering
his service and sacrifice. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

thinking about you
August 14, 2007
There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

I am Deeply saddened to learn of the loss of this Fine Young Soldier, Spc. Gregory L. Tull, one year ago today.
The price this young hero and his family have paid for this country and for freedom, WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
May Gregory rest safely in the Loving Care of God and may the Peace of the Lord continue to be with the Tull family.
There will never be enough ways to humbly thank these heroes for their Supreme Sacrifice, my brother among them. KIA~Vietnam, 1967.
May the Peace of God and the memories of Gregory,
remain in your heart always and give you comfort
and strength through the difficult days
I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Greg was, and is, a fine young man, outstanding Soldier, a role model, and hero. His death was a sad event. His family, and friends, can be proud of his actions in Iraq, and they should know that he is well remembered, well respected, and well thought of. I want to express my gratitude to his parents for raising an outstanding example of leadership, dedication, and sacrifice. My "hat is off" for the Tull family, and all are in my thoughts daily.

To the family of Spc. Gregory L. Tull:
The Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel Foundation will be honoring your loved one at the non-denominational Memorial Day Sunday worship service at 11:00 a.m. on 28 May, 2006. We will remember the casualties of the Global War on Terrorism from Minnesota … and the neighboring states of Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Outside of the historic Fort Snelling Veterans Memorial Chapel will be a “Memorial Garden” filled with white crosses bearing the names of the war dead … including your loved one.
I would like to extend to your family an invitation to honor us with your presence at worship as we pay tribute to the sacrifice made by your service member and family. Our pastor, U.S. Army Chaplain, LTC Kenneth L. Beale, Jr. will preach a message entitled “What Are We to Remember?” At the conclusion of the worship hour, all of the congregation will be invited to silently pay their respects at the garden and place poppies at each of the crosses. An honor guard squad will be on hand to fire vollies as the US flag is lowered to half-staff and Taps is played.
As this Christian worship service has traditionally been well attended, we would be happy to reserve seating for you and yours. To do so, kindly call (612/970-7866) and leave a voice message indicating your veterans’ name and the number of persons attending. If you are not able to attend, we pray that you would find comfort in knowing that our prayers are with you and all of the fallen heroes.
Respectfully,
Leila Campbell

Today marks the 3 month mark of when I lost a part of myself because that is when I first learned about the death of Greg. I think about and remember Greg each and every day! Every time that I see a flag flying or hear a certain song, I am reminded of what a great person he truly was! I miss him more than words can say, but I try to live each day in a way that would make him proud! He will always be my hero!

Last night when I was hanging out with some friends I met someone who had never met Greg before but had gone to his funeral and said that he was honored to be there because of all the nice things he had heard about Greg. It's amazing when you remember all the good times spent with Greg you can still hear his laugh and when had something smart to say he had his stance. After losing Greg and then also Nate Field I cherish the days I had spent with both of them. I miss you so much Greg and you will always be remembered by everyone you knew!

My name is Colton Ward, I was one of the first medics to get to Greg the day that he got hit. Greg was a real close friend of mine, we got to know each other real well while in Iraq. Greg and I went home together on leave and didn't leave each others side untill he had to go to Iowa and I had to go to Ms. It hurt me real bad to know that I wouldn't be able to do some of the things with Greg that we had talked about. If there is anything that I can ever do for yall please let me know. Greg will always be remembered and thought about in my family. He gave all to the cause and we will always honor him. Goodbye Greg.

Just barly over two months have gone by since Greg died, and I find myself still unable to grasp the reality of it. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him at least once. A song brings back a memory and most of them make me laugh or smile, some make me cry, but all of them make me proud to be able to say he was my friend! Just wanted to let Gary, Elieen, and Bryan know that I am still thinkin of you every day, and your still in my prayers, as you always will be!
I find comfort in reading the amazing things that people have posted, and check it frequently, so keep the posts comin!!

I am Spc. Curtis L. McGee Jr. I had the priviledge of serving with CPL. Tull. I am proud to see he was posthumously promoted to SGT. He deserved it in life. Always a dedicated soldier and a wonderful friend, in my mind he truly is an American Hero. We always joked together and talked about football and his Hawkeyes. Whether playing on playstation or just talking, his smile and laughs always kept my mind off of our situation and helped me make it through. I can just see him seeing this Guest Book for him and saying, "Sweet". He truly made my wife sweeter for knowing him and I will always remember you. Through our time together and going through our trials together I consider him and the rest of our Iowa guys family. I miss you Brother.

Those of us in training down in Mississipi now send our deepest sympathies to the Tull family. Many of us knew him through guard and hung out with him, he will be missed and remembered throughout our lives. Thank you Greg, we all look up and strive to be as professional as you were, you set the standard and we will follow in your steps.

We are so proud of Greg for his courage, discipline, and dedication. We watched him develop on the basketball court through his hard work and determination his senior year. We know these and other qualities you instilled in him, as well as his faith in Christ served him well as a soldier, as is evidenced by the many great tributes to the amazing young man you were blessed to call your son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. We wish we could thank him for his willingness to serve our country with such courage and integrity. We thank you for sharing this great young man with our community and our nation. We are so very sorry for your profound loss. May you know God's peace, as you feel the prayers of so many.
Our thanks to those still serving our country and fighting for the freedom of others around the world. We are proud of all of you, and we keep you in our prayers. Safe homecomings to each of you.

To the Tull Family: Greg was a super young man who I can honestly say gave his best every day while on this deployment. I admired him along with the rest of the Iowa guys that volunteered for this deployment with us. They are truly the kind of people that make this country great. They became a part of the family and it was a true pleasure listening to Greg's witty outlook on life each day and seeing his big smile. He will be sorely missed and you will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Greg was such an amazing person. It was impossible to know him and not love him. I only got to know him through my sister but I feel very grateful for their friendship. I was lucky enough to get to tag along when they hung out and Greg acted like he and I were as good of friends as he and Kate were. He was such an awesome person like that. He always felt to me like an older brother and I can't believe he's gone. He will always have a place in my heart. You will be greatly missed forever. Love you Greg!

You have my deepest sympathy. My son trained with Greg and will soon be in Iraq. Freedom is NOT free, and may God grant you the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, the courage to change the things you can (as Greg did) and the wisdom to know the difference. He spends Christmas with Jesus this year and will be watching from above. God bless him for his service, and may God help you through your pain.

Words cannot express the sympathy i have for the Tull's. Greg was an OUTSTANDING person and he will be greatly missed. Growing up in a small town, everyone knew everyone. Greg was always the one there with that BIG smile and a warm welcome. Many fond memories linger in my mind and make me smile and cry at the same time. And to Greg, all i can say is "I'll see you again someday". You will be another angel added to my list of people watching over me from above. You are our Hometown HERO and you will be greatly missed.
