As you may know, the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel Foundation has honored your loved one at its Memorial Day Sunday worship service (each year in May) … since the time of your fallen hero's ultimate sacrifice. We will continue to pay tribute to our nation's veterans … lest we ever forget!

Robert you sacrifice for this country will never be forgotten .Semper Fi

well its been over a year. I was in Baghdad testifying for a couple days when I heard. I remember how bad I wanted to get out of there and back to Bravo. Little things remind me of those times every day. Seems like yesterday. From boot camp, to 1st platoon, to Karmah, we went through alot together. I'll never forget you or any of our brothers.

Did a crazy thing a couple weeks ago...I couldn't get out of the Army Guard, so I re-uped as a forward observer. It's not a grunt job like we had, but I guess you could say I get to "strike" from a further distance in a smaller team. Still think about you and don't want you to forget that. I know you're up high, but I feel it easier to feel as if I'm actually e-mailing you. I listened to my "Zombie" today, thought about when you guys called me "Devil Man." My twin girls will be born anyday now and wish you could meet them. Tell my older bro high for me. Your bro, Chambless

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

Sorry I didn't write yesterday, I had a lot of reports I had to deal with. I hate being a cop man. I thought about you all day yesterday though and today, well, still the same. All I keep thinking about is the time we had together doing our craziness, as I always said. Wish you could tell me what it's like up there where you are. Tell my older brother hi for me if you see him...Got some good news for you. My wife and I are having twin girls. Crazy huh. I can't believe it because I always wanted a girl and now I'm getting two. I have to go, but just wanted you to know, I'm always thinking about you bro.

Please know how Deeply Sorry I was to learn of the loss of Lance Cpl. Robert G. Posivio, one year ago.
The price this Brave Young Marine and this family have paid for this country and for freedom, Will Never Be Forgotten.

May Robert rest safely in God's Loving Care and know that he is a True American Hero that will Never Be Forgotten.
I pray that the Grace and Comfort of the Lord will continue to be with the Posivio family.
There will Never be Enough Ways to Humbly Thank these Young Heroes for their Sacrifices, my brother among them. Killed in action in Vietnam in 1967.

We will remember the casualties of the Global War on Terrorism from Minnesota … and the neighboring states of Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Outside of the historic Fort Snelling Veterans Memorial Chapel will be a “Memorial Garden” filled with white crosses bearing the names of the war dead … including your loved one.

I would like to extend to your family an invitation to honor us with your presence at worship as we pay tribute to the sacrifice made by your service member and family. Our pastor, U.S. Army Chaplain, LTC Kenneth L. Beale, Jr. will preach a message entitled “Remembering” At the conclusion of the worship hour, all of the congregation will be invited to silently pay their respects at the garden and place poppies at each of the crosses. An honor guard squad will be on hand to fire vollies as the US flag is lowered to half-staff and Taps is played.

As this Christian worship service has traditionally been well attended, we would be happy to reserve seating for you and yours. I served with Robert for 4 yrs and to me he not only was a friend or a fellow Marine but a brother. He will be missed dearly and his family will be in my prayers. R.I.P. bro!

i served with robert for four years he was a very good buddy of mine and a good marine too. always had something to say and always willing to help out. i will never forget him my prayers are with him and his mother and father.

My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life. We lost a son 12/1/05.

I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally, but none of these courageous men and women will be forgotten. They will never be able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your loving memories will help to sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
