In Memory of Robert ~ (Debra Estep)
September 30, 2008
Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Robert, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Hey Webs!
You were always a great friend and im very proud to have known and served with you. I heard about your passing when i was on a mission at the plant and i can remember just going back into my humvee feeling numb that such a great man can be taken from us in a blink of an eye.
I will always hold close our memories weather it been killing each other playing halo on those annoying nights on staff duty.. or hanging with strawberry, sky, dragon, and viper.. I will never forget you and the impact you had on my life. Rest In Peace my friend and i'll see you sometime soon.

To the family of Bobby Webber,
I was lucky enough to teach Bobby at Dater High School. I saw him last at a local UDF and asked where he was being deployed. He told me Iraq. I told him to come home safely. My cousin is also over there and I am praying for all of the young people over there now. Bobby's picture is displayed proudly in our hallway and I know he will always be with us. Bobby took his job in the military very seriously and I know he finally found something he really loved. God bless you Bobby and best wishes to your family.

There isn't a day that goes by that I do not think of you, pray for you and miss you with all my heart and soul. You were one of a kind, my dear, loving God-son, and although God chose to take you from us so early in your life, I am grateful for the time He did give us to love and cherish you. You alway were and always will be a kind, loving, generous soul, who gave so much of yourself to everyone. Your memory shall live in my heart and soul all the days of my life until we meet again, my dearest Bobby!

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain, so I will not pretend that I know what to say or do that would bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Weber, Im proud to say that I was graced with your presence on this earth. You were a great friend to everyone you met. Although we didn’t share the same blood, your were family. Your death came to early in your short life, but while you were here you made an unimaginable impact on the lives of everyone in the Thunder Battery. I as well as others still think about you often, laughing about the “good times” we shared. I miss having you around. We will see each other again some day.
To the Weber family, Im deeply sorry for you loss. Thank you for all your support of the Thunder Battery and the On The Minute Battalion. I cant express it enough.

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers
Soldiers write history, we pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever
Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away
Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go
We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light
Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray
Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

Your family has been in my prayers and I ran across your son's page here. My brother, Miles Davenport, served with your son. I believe they went through basic training together. I know they were buddies up at Fort Lewis and were deployed together to Iraq. Losing Robert was a very hard thing for Miles to endure while out there together and I know he'll will be missed and never forgotten. May God comfort you always.

To the family of CPL Robert F. Weber my deepest sympathy for all the pain you are going through right now. While the rest of us will move on your heart will not allow you to because as parents this pain never goes away. Oh you will in time learn how to hide this pain but it will not go away. I made you your quilt so when you have that pain you can wrap yourself in your pain and have that good cry that you need to do from time to time. Your raise a wonderful son a hero and man of courageous that love his family and his country. I'm sure all he came in contact with felt the love he had and what a true caring person he was. His memory will always be in your heart and in time you will be able to deal with your pain. Take it slow one day at a time and reach out to those that will help. My quilt was made with love so you could us it when ever you need to shed your tears and need that warmth to carry you on for the next day. I made it with love for I once wore the uniform also and I feel like a brother I loss. May God bless and watch over you and may he watch over our men and women that wear the uniform and our fighting to protected each and everyone one of us. Thank you for giving us a hero.

Although I did not know Robert personally, I know he was loved and cherished by his family and many friends. I cannot take the hurt away, but I will pray for the family to quickly overcome their grief and remember Robert with great pride.

MY DEEPEST HEARTFELT SYMPATHIES TO THE FAMILY OF SPC. ROBERT WEBER. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO EXPRESS THE PAIN THAT YOU ARE FEELING AT THIS TIME. I LOST A SON ON 8-27-06. MY SON, CPL KENNETH CROSS WAS THE COMMANDER OF A STRYKER VEHICLE THAT WAS HIT BY AN IED IN BAGHDAD. HE WAS ALSO AN INFANTRYMAN FROM FT. LEWIS. RECALL ALL THE MEMORIES OF ROBERT, BETWEEN THE TEARS, AND HOLD THEM CLOSE. HE WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU AND ALL THOSE THAT HIS LIFE HAS TOUCHED. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

To the Family of Spc. Robert F. Weber:
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courgeous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life. We lost a son (SFC Brent A. Adams) 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday.
I know first hand there are no words right now that will bring you the comfort and peace you need. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you mourn this loss. We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with. I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally, but none of these courageous men and women will be forgotten. They will never be able to be replaced, but sometime, someday your loving memories will help to sustain you. This courageous soldier will forever now be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well. To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is those wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever. If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero. God Bless this courageous soldier and family and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.
