Ruben Estrella-Soto Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 28, 2005.
Pvt. Ruben Estrella-Soto was a mechanic''s son who grew up in a hardscrabble neighborhood east of El Paso, Texas, and knew the value of education. Estrella-Soto enlisted in the Army right after his high school graduation _ though his father didn''t want him to go. "I knew it was a difficult life," Ruben Estrella Sr. said. Born across the Texas border in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Estrella-Soto became a naturalized citizen several years ago.

All though we only spent weeks training together, it was more than enough to see what a wonderful human being you were.
Brother, I have kept with me the memories of the fun times we spent toguether in 2002 while we were trainees in Fort Lee. I remember one night while we were out on pass and one of the things that you did was to ensure that everyone we were with to feel as if we were at home. Thanks again for that.
Today I saw someone that looked like you. It felt real, as if you had walked into the room.
It was a great feeling.
Ruben Estrella Soto, I keep your with me everywhere I go and I will never forget you. Dios te tenga en su santa gloria hermano.

Prayer for Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen

”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Almost 2,100 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and want you know that everyone here at Project Compassion does and will always CARE.
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Kenna

GUILLERMO ESTRELLA. Caracas Venezuela.

Psalm 23

1

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!

My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!
