Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let you and your family and friends know that we have made a small donation to Teen Cancer America to honor and remember Thomas A. Blair US Marine Lance Corporal.
We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals across the American youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

To the family and Friends of Marine Lance Cpl. Thomas A. Blair,
My name is Morgan Blair; I am a senior at Winfield City High School. I found your son by our shared surname.
I would like to thank you for your son's dedication and sacrifice for our country.
Thank you, as well, for your support and love for him throughout his journeys. Without his courage I would not have the opportunities that I have today. Thank you for your love and your son's blessings. God Bless.

I want to take the time to correct my previous entry. I referred to this brave young man as a soldier. For the family, friends, loved ones, and fellow Marines, I want to extend my apologies. He was a Marine, not a Soldier. I hope that my honest mistake has not offended anyone. My brother, Spc. Jeffrey S. Henthorn is one of the 100 men and women in Oklahoma, who have died while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The thought that I may have offended someone troubles me, and I have an obligation to this Marine and his family to correct my mistake.
It is the least I can do, and I owe it to him to do that.

The flag is flying in the sky
A daily reminder of who and why
We sit here remembering them today
These heroes that now lie in their grave.
While here on earth, the bravest ones
A soldier, a mother, a daughter, a son
The father's who went far off to war
To ensure our safety and so much more
To keep our children happy and free,
Someone must do this job, you see
So, today remember the soldiers who served,
Because this is one thing they truly deserve.
The loved one's that they have left behind,
The Gold Star mothers, like your and mine
We honor them proudly, every day
Our American Soldier...Proud and Brave
By Shannon Williams-Austill
I want to thank this soldier for their sacrifice.
And, I wish to extend my deepest regards to the loved ones they have left behind. Their service to our nation, has not gone unnoticed. They are our heroes, who paid the ultimate price for us, and that is something that every American needs to be reminded of and remember everyday.
The freedom we all have, we have because of brave young men and women who made a choice to defend and serve.
Today, let me remember your loved one with you.

”Honor and Remember” - “Project Compassion” We love our Soldiers! We love our country and we cannot express enough love and compassion to the families of our fallen heroes. War does not discriminate – It breaks our hearts to see the faces of the fallen. We want to give this gift to the hero’s Mother, Father and/or spouse. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization! Almost 2,100 portraits have been completed and shipped to the parents and or spouse - at no cost as this is a gift from one American to another!
This is a gift! We have wonderful sponsors who help with the costs, and want you know that everyone here at Project Compassion does and will always CARE.
Contact us directly at [email protected] or go to www.heropaintings.com . If you have already had a portrait completed, we pray that you are enjoying the portrait and God Bless You.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Kenna

My heartfelt sympathy to the Blair family in the loss of Thomas. I did not know Thomas, but my heart is broken and I am saddened for your loss of such a fine young person and hero. May God bring you peace in your heart as you reflect on all the wonderful memories you hold so close. Please know that you are in my heart and prayers. My heart was touched by the many wonderful/beautiful things written about you and from the moving tribute. Thomas it has been over 4 years since you were taken. Please know that you are my hero and you will NEVER be forgotten.
I send each of you a hug from the most inner part of my heart.

If this person can stand in battle to ensure my freedom, then I will stand in grief with his/her family to honor him/her. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guest book for the rest of my life, but I promised Le Ron A. Wilson (a dear friend KIA 7/6/07, 18yrs old) that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.

Hey Blair,
It's been a long time. I don't know if you remember me. I was 9 years old when you graced my life with your love. I know you're watching over me and my family. Sometimes I swear I can feel you at my side. When my family moved to Las Vegas I never got the chance to tell you something. I'm sorry for leaving you. If I had known I would never see you again I would have begged my mom to keep us in El Paso. I never got the chance to tell you that I love you or to say "Goodbye." Elizabeth misses you too. I found out about your passing three days before my 15th birthday. So things were very difficult for me. I'm still your "punk." Always the rebel. I'm trying to make you proud though. I'm 19 now and I'm expecting my first child. I'm three months along and this is a difficult journey for me, but I won't fail. I promise you I won't. Please don't forget how much we love you. You will ALWAYS be in my heart. Until we meet again, until I see your sweet smiling face Goodbye. And know that I will always love you. And I will do my best to make you proud. God Bless you.

Psalm 23
1
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!
My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

Tommy was my first love. We met when we were 16. Things were difficult for both of us to be together. Being several states apart made it even more difficult at times. I was able to see him the last night he was home for Christmas and I didn't want to let go, eight years was not enough time spent with him. I know he is still looking out for all of us, just as he always has.
