I grew up with Carl in when I was just a tiny little thing. I always remember being around Carl, Rusty and Kimberly growing up. Knowing someone for that long leaves a hole that can't be filled when they are taken so young. I love and miss you Carl. Always will. ❤

The flag is flying in the sky
A daily reminder of who and why

These heroes that now lie in their grave.
While here on earth, the bravest ones
A soldier, a mother, a daughter, a son
The father's who went far off to war

I want to thank this soldier for their sacrifice.
And, I wish to extend my deepest regards to the loved ones they have left behind. Their service to our nation, has not gone unnoticed. They are our heroes, who paid the ultimate price for us, and that is something that every American needs to be reminded of and remember everyday.
The freedom we all have, we have because of brave young men and women who made a choice to defend and serve.

With the passing of yet another Memorial Day weekend, I'm humbly reminded that our family is not the only Gold Star family in Oklahoma. I've set aside time today to reflect on the past and remember that your family has suffered the loss of their soldier. Thank you for this soldier's service and duty. As he will always be dearly missed because he payed the ultimate sacrifice. He gave his life to protect our country and our freedom.

I don't pretend to know what to say or do that would bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

Sgt. Lee you are missed... I remember when you came to D CO 1-503rd INF REGT (War Dawgs!) from Ft. Bragg. You were the most squared away Specialist we had. At the time I was just a young PFC about to PCS to Ft. Drum to head off to Iraq with the 10th Mtn Div. I'm here to let your family and all of your friends know that you are NOT forgotten! I am headed back to Iraq again in Feb. and I will keep up the fight for you and all of our other fallen brothers and sisters...you have my word. I miss you.

I want you to know that Carl is not forgotton. He, Michael, and Stephen will always be bonded as a great loss that day in November.
Carl and Stephen always come to mind whenever I think of Michael. A week ago, I was at their memorial at Ft. Carson, and cried for all three.
