Brandon was a man among men. He volunteered when many of us were ordered. I will never forget the day we were told we lost one of our own in tent city. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

It is difficult to know what to say since I want to express my sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Pfc Wadman. Please know that your loved one is not forgotten. I wish everyone impacted by this tragic loss strength and peace. I hope that Pfc Wadman knew that there are people in America who respect his great courage in serving as a member of the US military. Although I did not know him, I know that he must have been a very special person to be willing to do something that most Americans will never have to experience, and for that we can never say thank you enough.
Thank you Pfc Wadman!

Holding you all in my thoughts and prayers.
The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Brandon, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

You are remembered and respected. Thank you Pfc Wadman!
Daniel Bruni
March 23, 2008
To the Wadman Family,
My name is Daniel Bruni. I lived just a few houses away from Brandon in Cape Coral. I was always friendly with Brandon, and we even played together when we were younger from time to time. I wasn't the best of Friends to Brandon. I cant say that i was mean to him, but I have often wished i was a lot nicer to him. He was always a sweet boy, helpful, friendly and kind, and I was always afraid to be friends with him least I be seen as weak for being friends to such a sweet kid, in the 'hard life' of school.
One day, about a year ago (sometime in spring 2007) I happened across an article..
" Pfc. Brandon J. Wadman of West Palm Beach, Fla., died May 5 in Afghanistan when his vehicle rolled over. Pfc. Wadman was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 265th Air Defense Artillery, Florida National Guard, West Palm Beach, Fla."
I was in shock. I can't believe that the sweet boy next door that I used to play with is no longer with us. I read all the things written, everything that was said. I read about his courage, to volunteer to go and serve our country, to serve me. And I read about how he made the ultimate sacrifice, so that I might keep taking everything for granted.
I didn't know what to do, I still don't. I didn't want to go through the lists of those who died. I wanted to pretend that there were no lists, that I didn't see that article. I didn't want to see more people that I used to know, gone. I didn't want to realize that the names I didn't know were just as real to others. I was afraid. I am afraid. and I look back now and I realize.. Brandon was never weak, not once, I was the weak one, and I am so sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't stronger when Brandon was young, I'm sorry I didn't repay him with the same kindness he showed me, and I'm sorry that I only have the ability to realize all of it when it is long too late. I'm sorry to your Brandon, and I'm sorry to you.
I will go through the lists of the brave men and women who have given their lives for our country, and I will grieve as a man should, I will be a stronger person in life, And I will be able to see it in others, as i was unable to before.. From now on, Brandon will always be my strength.

To the parents of Pfc. Wadman:
I met your son back in 1995 at Parks and Rec, then remet him at Cape High. He fell in love with me and even proposed to me. I accepted but it wasn't very long until I met someone else and the sparks really flew. When I found out he had died, I was both shocked and very sad. Going to his funeral was too much for me to handle but I know he did not leave this earth wanting me or anybody else he loved to be unhappy.
Don't worry Brandon...once I get to the Kingdom of Heaven I'll be back in your arms again!

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

To the mother and stepfather of PFC Wadman, I would like to let you know that the soldiers of the former 265th will never forget Brandon. I recently had the privilage of meeting Brandon's family at my Armory and they were the image of patriotism. How the soldiers feel can be summed up in a statement by the current first sergeant, 1SG Dillard at a ceremony on ths anneversary of his passing: "I will wear this bracelet with Brandon's name on it for the rest of my life and never forget the sacrifice he made for our country" He was speaking of the KIA bracelet that we wear to honor Brandon's life.

Brandon will always be in my heart as the brother i never had . In the times of good and in evil i will always remember that i have the gretest angel wlking next to me. I love him with all of my heart and wish he wasnt gone everyday. I am honored he got to do what he dreamed and yet i am sadened at the fact that i couldnt join him. he is angel to many of us and that is something i will never let go. At one time there were threes friends who made a pact togetherjust before we were all to join in. "You Ride I Ride,You Die I Die" I will stand by that code i swore to him on the day before his departure. The days o f evil are almost done, and it was becuase of the son that they became closer and closer everyday to the begining of good. thank you brandon for always being there for me and i will see you when it is my time. until that day comes i will think of you everday and visit grave with sorrow and love every year on the 5th of may.

I had the oppurtunity to know Brandon while he was assigned with my unit. The last time I saw him was the morning we put him in a van and told him good luck and sent him off to the unit he would go to Afghanistan with. It was not soon after I learned of his passing. I attended his funeral and paid my final respects.
PFC Wadman, May you rest in peace. May your family learn to smile instead of cry when remembering you. God Speed young Soldier. God Speed.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
