My condolences go out to the the Gertson family, Clint was a classmate of my sister, Me adn my wife also attended RHS when he was there, I remember him very well, as a tall country boy from good ole Eagle Lake, he was very humble and polite, when i heard of his passing I was in Mt Home, Idaho and couldnt believe what I heard, it really touched me and my wife's hearts to hear the terrible news, my sister and parents were there for his funeral on behalf of me and my wife, if there's anything we can ever do to help just let us know, Im now serving my time in Iraq and I know Clint is watching over me and all the soldiers here. God Bless

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Clint and I weren't very close, but our families have known eachother for many years. I do have some memories of Clint. I used to go swimming at his grandmother's house, and we would also jump on the trampoline. Oh, and how could I forget hanging out at G.G.'s Beach Bash!!
BUT...my most UNFORGETTABLE memory is one that Clint is a part of, but will never know...One night I went to see a RHS football game, Clint was a Senior at that time and tickets were being sold for an autographed football by the players. I ended up winning that football that night and it stayed in my closet for over 6 years, it moved twice with me from Eagle Lake to Louisiana and back to Texas, where it finally ended up in the Arms of a Hero. Through my brother, I gave that ball to Clint's brother, Matt, when I came home for the funeral. On the day of Clint's funeral, I went to say my goodbye...and there it was...my football was snuggled inside of Clint's right arm. It's Clint's football now, with his and his fellow football player's names on it. It means so much to me that I was able to see that ball in his arms, as it should be...I wouldn't have it any other way.
I still think about him often and he will never be forgotten.

Psalm 23
1
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
This is a verse that I have found to be comforting to me during my husbands death. Remember that when it seems that no one else is round, God is still there with you! And he will be your rock!
My daughter,McKaLyne, and I send our heartfelt sympathy for your loss! God Bless this warrior, God Bless those whom serve freedom's cause! They are our true HERO's!!!!

I happened upon Clint on Militaryphotos.net. This young man reminded me of a friend I knew and I thought he looked like one cool soldier. When I scrolled through the pictures and came across the one that said he had been KIA, my heart dropped. Since then I have been so interested in his service and proud of the Duece Four. God bless your son and all our soldiers. They are my heroes!

We are very sorry to hear about the sad news. As military parents the worse has happened to you and the feeling of a wasted life is on our minds. Although we are very proud of our sons the hurt is so deep that we can't help but to ask why. May the memories of your son bring comfort. My son, Clint, knew your son Clint and he was very upset when we told him the news. We knew he had to know and we had to tell him. He is now deployed in Afghanastan untill March 2006 and served his year in Iraq last year. We miss him so much, but thinking of your lose makes the time he his gone more bearable. God be with you and find comfort within your family.

There will always be a heartache,
and often a silent tear.
But always a precious memory
of the days when you were here.
If tears would make a staircase,
and heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you home again.
We hold you close within our hearts,
and there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
until we meet again.
Our family chain is broken now,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
