Corey J. Aultz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 29, 2007.
Aultz came from a close military family and was on his second tour of duty, said his sister, Tamra Aultz. His previous duty included missions to Kosovo and Bosnia, and once told her, "You know, I am just trying to do the best I can and keep people as safe as I can," she said. Aultz was based for the past 11 years in Germany and lived there with his wife and their 6-year-old daughter in the Bavarian town of Munnerstadt, his sister said. "He was a good person, and we are proud of him," she added. Services were planned in Germany. ___ Information from: Seattle Post-Intelligencer, http://www.seattle-pi.com/

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this holiday season and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Corey J. Aultz US Army Sergeant.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.

We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

Hi I just found out about Corey. He was my boyfriend back when I was 19. Then he was in the National Guard. It was so many years ago but he was such an amazing person. I cry tonight realizing he gave his life for our freedom an left behind a young child and a wife. Corey you will always be remembered an never forgotten. You will always have a special place in my heart. I still have your dog tag an its even more special now. Fly with angels my friend.

I am SPC. Anderson and Sgt. Aultz was on my tank and my roommate. I am still upset and always will be. In Bosnia we spent thousands of hours talking and protecting one another and I wasn't there to protect him in Iraq. That eats at me alot. I have nothing more to say except I will cry again for him and his family. I miss you Corey.

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

To Corey's family:

I did not know Corey, but every year before Memorial Day in our town of Holliston, Massachusetts, signs are put up along Route 16 going through several towns. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of them, and they display the name, age, and home town of our fallen heros. One is always put up at the end of my driveway, and this year it is in honor of Corey. I didn't want to look at this sign every morning and just have it be a name...I wanted to know a little bit about Corey, so that each time I pass the sign, I could understand a bit about who he was and pray for his family. I was saddened to read that he left behind such a young child...she will constantly be in my thoughts and prayers from now on, and know that someday she will realize what a brave and unselfish man her father was.

Ronald Clary

March 5, 2007

My name is Sgt Ronald L Clary JR, and Corey was my best friend. We were friends since I came back to 1-77. We served together in A Co 1-77 AR (WARLORDS) Task Force 1-18 IN during our first deployment to Iraq. We would often sit outside of our company HQ drinking coffee and talking about our families, I think I know as much about your family as I know about mine. I hope you can understand what he meant to all of us, and especially to those of us who had the honor to call him friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I was one of the speakers at his memorial here in Ramadi, and that day was one of the hardest days in my life. I can only imagine what it must have been like for you. If there is anything that you need, and I mean anything, do not hesitate to ask. I will carry the memories of Corey with me for the rest of my life.

Dear family of Sgt. Corey Aultz. Please accept our deepest sympathy. Our son, Sgt. Chris Collen, served with Corey in Germany and Ramadi. We are praying for your family and the family of the other soldier killed, Sgt. Milton Gist. Chris told us the memorial service for them (in Ramadi) was very moving. Although we never met Corey, we did see him on the DVD the soldiers in his platoon made while in Kuwait and then in Ramadi. Corey's wonderful personality was evident. Please know that Corey's service and sacrifice will not be forgotten. We will continue to pray for your family.

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers

Soldiers write history, we pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still

We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever

Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away

Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go

We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light

Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray

Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound

Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

Please accept my deepest and most heartfelt sympathy regarding the loss of this Brave Warrior, unknown in this war torn country, so far away from home.

May they learn his identity so this family may have the peace and comfort needed for this un consolable loss.
May this Hero rest safely in the Care of God. He Will Never Be Forgotten.

There is and never will be enough ways, to humbly thank these service men and women, who are willing to serve so far from home, knowing the dangers involved. I am the sister of a Vietnam Hero, KIA-1967.

"Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid, they have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices".
~ PRESIDENT HARRY S. TRUMAN ~

May the Peace and Guidance of God, be with those involved in learning who this Hero is.
This entire nation morns this loss and will pray that
he may rest in peace and be known to all the country, by name, for the sacrifice he made.

To the Family and Friends of this Hero:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.
