Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Noble Family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Daniel S. Noble US Navy Hospitalman. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

I served with Daniel in 1st LAR, 1st Marine Div. He was a great man, when he arrived to us he was just out of school and we had to train him up before the next deployment and I remember helping him learn some things that I had gathered from my pervious deployment. Just today I found some old photos with him in them, I will try to upload them to this site. When he left us I knew he was ready to be a great Corpsman and I'm sure he was. He is in my thoughts often. God bless.

Not a day goes by without thinking of the sacrafice Noble gave, and what a loss the world has suffered without him being physicaly among us anymore. Even though I know I can never be the man he was, I attempt to live my life better, treat people in the kind way Daniel would have. He always had a way to bring a smile to peoples faces. If his parents ever read this, I remember I talked with his mother 1 or 2 years ago. His father returned my call, but I never was able to bring myself to call back, I am not as strong as Daniel, and cannot keep my composure when talking about him, I am in tears as I write this right now, I am very sorry. It really isnt fair that I made it through my deployment and he did not from some stupid random bomb, Daniel was a much better man than I. I am very gratefull for having known him for the short period I did, and he made a very long lasting impression, probably one of the most influential, good people I will ever have the privilage of knowing in my life. His mother is a very sweet woman, and I hope I did not bring any more pain into her life by speaking with her. I know I will never get over his passing, but to his parents if they do ever read this, I cannot thank you enough, he was raised very well and was probably one of the most morraly right people I can possibly ever know. I know he influenced many people including myself to try to live more charitable lives and to attempt to bring more kindness into this world. I dont know what I can say that will ever ease any of the pain, but I still must at least say thank you.

My son, HM3 Corpsman Joshua K. Nygaard, served in Irag during the same time as Daniel. He didn't know him as a close friend but knew of him fondly. Joshua and his wife are the proud parents of a baby boy born
on Feb 4, 2010 in San Diego. He named him Noble Eugene (in honor of Daniel). He always told me that one day if he had a boy he would name him Noble. He really looked up to Daniel. Our thoughts and prayers are with Daniel's entire family and friends. May he rest peacefully and know he is thought of and respected by many. We will raise Noble to know he was named after a true hero.

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

We just moved across the street from Daniels mother's house before he went to Iraq. Let me tell you, these are some of the nicest people we have ever met. The candlelight vigil was moving and though we didn't know Daniel, our hearts were broken and we shed tears as if he were a part of our family. There was a tree planted in Daniel's mothers yard surrounded by American flags in honor of Daniel. Everyday I see his mother water that tree and nuture it with love. Daniel will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and also by those who never knew him. Like the great heroes and forefathers of our country, he will forever be a part of all of our history and our descendants history. Our hearts, love and prayers go out to Daniel's family....especially his mother, brother and sister. Godspeed Jolly Green. May you rest in peace alongside the great heroes of this nation.

I am so sorry to hear about another fallen! I know there are no words that I can say to ease your pain! The loss of a child is something that is the most difficult thing to bare. We can only pray that one day we will be together again. I was told that if you stretch a piece of string a mile long and line that string with beads, the beads would resemble eternity. Life here on earth is equal to “only one bead”. We have only a short time here compared to the time we will spend in eternity with our loved ones. The only thing I can say is let faith keep you grounded in your life and hold on to your loved ones! This will help you through!
This is what helps me get through my days, I too have lost. My son entered into the Heavens to be with our Lord!
God Bless Your Family!

Dear Noble Family -
Your son Daniel truly lived up to his Noble name. I worked with him for a few weeks in the Family Medicine Department at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton while he was awaiting field medical training. He assisted me in a number of procedures and was an outstanding corpsman. I know he took excellent care of his Marines. In the few short weeks he was here, HN Daniel Noble made quite a positive impression on the staff. Please accept my humble condolences for Daniel's sacrifice. He is missed!

Dearest Noble Family,
I was deeply saddened of hearing of the passing of Daniel. Having known him through his father Barry at the range, I can see how great a loss this will be to all who knew him. Though I only briefly met with Daniel over the past few years I feel as if I am a better person for having been touched by his personality and humor. Daniel was one of the nicest people I have known and I will never forget him. He will always be remembered by me for the sacrifice he gave in a position he chosed to administer aid to those protecting all of us!
May God Bless Daniel, his family and all those still in harms way serving the United States anywhere in the world!

Barry, Andrew, & Kaitlin
It has been my privilege and honor to have known Daniel since he was about 10 years old. I look back at the times your dad brought all of you to training to meet us, and how Kaitlin was quiet, Andrew talked sports & Vegas, and Daniel asked questions about how and why things worked but always kept an eye out to make sure his brother and sister were OK. I remember laughing with him when we took bets on how long it would take him to outgrow his dad (I think that was about age 14!). Later, when he decided to go into the service, Daniel spent hours asking the military vets on our crew what to expect, how to fit in, how to prepare himself, and expressing his worries that he somehow might not "measure up". Daniel my friend, the question should have been would others meet the standards you set by example. Your courage, honesty, and empathy were personal traits you've had since childhood and were examples of how we all should hope to be. I know that when you arrived, St. Michael was at the gates of heaven to welcome you into his legion. When I get there, we'll finish some of those talks we had... God Bless, my friend.

To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

I was ment to deploy with Daniel. I found out about this early and could not believe it. He was a really nice guy. I remeber it was hot in the desert and I used him as shade..he said people always used him for shade. He spoke about his mom a few times. Daniel was a good guy and I WILL remember and pray for him. I will miss you greatly my friend.

Dan and I went to Field medical school together, and spent
every weekend either running around Camp Pendleton or at his home in Whittier. I met his family and friends, his old stomping grounds, he took me in and gave me a home during a stressful time in both our lives. Dan was always the guy you could turn to if you were feeling down, Mr. Positivity. A bit of a class clown, he always took time to remind the rest of us that despite our strict surroundings we could still take a minute to smile. He was an excellent man, a caring brother and son, and a dedicated corpsman. My heart goes out to his family, there is nothing I can say or do to make things better. However, know that you do not mourn alone. The loss of Dan is felt by many. He will not be forgotten, that I can promise. May God be with him and his family. We'll see you soon big guy.

I'm sorry about what happend. I love Daniel. He is the sweetest man. And he is going to be missed by many people. This definetly isn't going to be the last time that we see him, this is just a time boundary, because he is going to be waiting up in heaven for us to come home. I love you Daniel.
