Marjorie Fosler Obituary

Aug. 29, 1930 - Sept. 29, 2008
HAMLET - Marjorie E. Fosler, 78, passed away Monday, September 29. Marjorie was born August 29, 1930, in North Judson, IN, to Bruce and Sarah (Cowen) Fletcher, both deceased. She was a past member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Women of the Moose in Knox, LaPorte Chapter of the Eastern Star, America Legion Auxiliary in Bloomfield, IA, and Military Order of the Purple Heart Auxiliary. She married Robert Fosler Sr. in Knox on March 6, 1954. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1998. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Fletcher and Barbara Blessing; and a grandson, Michael Fosler Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Kathie Jones (Jeff) of Hamlet; and four sons, Jeffrey Fosler (Shirley) of Knox, Michael Fosler Sr. (Jane) of Cabot, AR, Robert Fosler Jr. (Debra) of Hamlet and Richard Fosler Sr. (Martha) of Koontz Lake. Also surviving are three brothers, Robert Bruce Fletcher of Alexandria, IN, Morris Fletcher of China, MI, and John L. Fletcher of Knox; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2nd, with a Women of the Moose Auxiliary Ceremony at 7 p.m. in the M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Oct. 3rd, in the M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Fletcher Cemetery, Hamlet. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Starke County Hospice.
