I met Diane a few years ago at the middle school when we both were getting our children fitted for football and picking up their equipment. She explained then to me about how she was the nurse for Doc Abel when my husband's mother battled cancer. I knew then she was an angel, she was so kind and gentle in spirit. We just want her family to know they are in our prayers. I am so grateful that I had the chance to talk with her that day and have memories of a beautiful, Godly woman. What a blessing she was to all of us.

Diane Brown was one very special lady. My daughters attended Wakarusa Elementary for several years and Diane always took great care of them. She was a caring, kind, loving person. She was a delight. I can't say enough about her. She made a real difference in my kids' lives and I always knew they were well taken care of while at school. I had no idea she was so sick. My deepest sympathies & prayers go out to her familiy, to the Wakarusa Elementary family, and to the WaNee family. Diane will be greatly missed. She was a blessing to all who knew her.

You have my deepest sympathy. I was a classmate of Dane's at Concordia Lutheran High School. My mother was Erna Roemke Kramer, so Diane was my cousin. Diane believed in Jesus as her Savior. At times like this we rmember the words of Jesus, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me though he die yet shall he live."

I'm am very sorry to hear about your mom. I know there are no words that can help your pain, I know because my father passed away on August 10, 2008.
But I just wanted to let you all know that your mom was very special to me, she always took care of me when I was sick, or even if I needed someone to talk to!
I don't know if you remember me but I'm Heidi's little sister.
Take care!

Eric,

You may not remember me, but we worked together when your company did work on the Nappanee UM Church years ago and I was head of the Building Comm. We have lived in NC for 5 years and I just read of Diane's passing online. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I didn't know your wife, but I know she was a wonderful lady if she was married to you. I had a lot of respect for you when we worked together on the church and I justed wanted to let you know that prayers are coming from all over the country. Let God guide you through this troubled time.

In Christ's Love,

Sharon & Bud Smock

Diane was the school nurse for all my six children. She was always kind and wonderful to them. I would tell her that I wish I could take her home because she was soo wonderful to have around. This is a very sad day for the children of Wakarusa Elementary, the parents, friend and family. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Thank you Diane for sharing your kindness and love to our community. May God's peace and strength be with her family, church-family and school-family, community-family and all the others that her life touched and enriched.
