James Kelly Obituary

James F. Kelly Sr. of Hazle Twp., passed away Friday.

Born in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Raymond and Rose (Dombroski) Kelly.

He was a graduate of Kingston High School and the Pennsylvania State College National Radio Institute as well as the RCA Institute for Professional Development. James furthered his education by attending Wyoming Seminary, Wilkes University and Pennsylvania State University.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 33rd Infantry Regimental Combat Team.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his brothers, Raymond J. and John T. Kelly.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Mary (Smith) Kelly; a son, James F. Kelly Jr.; granddaughters, Allison and Megan; and great-grandchildren, Avery, Everly and Hunter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Parish, Hazleton.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass Saturday.

Fierro Funeral Service Inc., Hazleton, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
