On Wednesday, September 25, 2008, Elizabeth Catherine Gillison, age 46, departed this life at her residence in Reva, Virginia.

Mrs. Gillison is survived by her devoted husband, Russell L. Gillison, Jr., of Reva, Va.; three step-children, Antonia (Kirstie) Gillison, of Culpeper, Va., Felicia Gillison, of Winchester, Va. and Samantha Gillison of Dale City, Va.

She also leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters, Jean M. Smith, of Culpeper, Va. and Loretta Moore of Washington, D.C.; one brother, Ronnie E. Moore, of Roanoke, Va. and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Laura L. Gillison, of Reva, Va. Also cherishing her memory are many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends and a special friend, Louise Compton.

Mrs. Gillison will lie in state, Monday, September 29, 2008 from 3 until 6 p.m. at W.C. Thompson Funeral Home, 503-7 North Main Street, Culpeper, Va.

Funeral services will be held at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Brightwood, Va., on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 12 Noon with the Reverend Bernard Snipes officiating. The viewing will be held one hour prior to funeral services. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Brightwood, Va. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to W.C. Thompson Funeral Home of Culpeper, Va,
