You have been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. Alex was a well behaved young man that obviously touched many many people in his short life. He was taken too soon, but will live on in our hearts. I know he is watching over you, and waiting for that day when you will be reunited in heaven. May God bless your family and bring you peace and understanding. May the love and care of so many in our community help you understand how many lives sweet Alex touched in his short life.

I had the great pleasure of knowing Alex for the past 4 years. I knew Alex as a talented basketball player on the court and a fun, energetic cub scout. Alex was one of those boys who ALWAYS wore a smile on his face. He was never mad. He was never sad. He loved life and it showed in everything he did. He was a good friend. He was a great young man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his parents Garrick & Brandie and to his sister who have to make sense of it all. Rest in peace Alex Newsome.

As a mother of 4 children, 3 boys and a daughter, my heart goes out to you. My boys have played baseball since they were 4 years old. A few of the kids on RG team are on my sons travel baseball team, Coastal Guard. The funeral was beautiful and sad. Our prayers go out to you all. My prayers and thoughts are forever with the Newsome family. Alex was a very sweet boy who always acted as a role model and guide for the younger children at Noah's Ark After-School, he was such a great assistant to the teaching staff. I know you will be watching over us Alex every time the warm rays of the sun shines on our faces and the biggest star shines bright at night I know that is you watching over us and every time I see that star twinkle and hear the joyful noise of the thunder roll, I will be reminded that you are now playing on the Lords Baseball team hitting a home run. We love you dear boy, always and forever.

We have been trying to find the right words….
Something to comfort you…something to take away the pain
We have found it is nearly impossible
We want to express our own deep sadness. There are no words to ease the pain and anguish and we really wish there were!
Reading about Alex brings a smile to our faces. What an amazing young man! You must be so proud of him.
Our hearts ache as we are writing this ….
We never had the privilege of meeting Alex but everything we have learned about him honors him as a beautiful soul, a kind hearted boy and gift to everyone he met.
We hope that you will find a source of comfort in memories and in knowing that he was loved and admired by so many.
May your beloved Alex rest in peace
