Dear Barbie and Wonderful Myers/Samuals Families,
I am so sorry to hear about Sylvia's death. I got a call from Phillip and a copy of the obituary from Roger and wanted to express my condolences to you all.
Interestingly enough I remember her most vividly when I was up in Duluth for your wedding…She was the Queen Mother of the family and ran it wonderfully! Everytime I had occasion to see her I always said to myself, “she’s a special lady”…
Even though I didn’t know her well, every time I got to be with her I enjoyed her a lot and could see the warmth and pleasure you all derived from her.
The impact she had on your lives I know was great and this is a major loss for you all.
Because of her nature, and her being such the wonderful woman she was, I know that she will continue to live on in your hearts forever.
I know over the years she has been a major guiding light and strength, not only to you Barbie, but to everyone she touched.
You were lucky to have her in your family and I know all of you have a bit of her in you which stands as a tribute to her.
I know she loved being a grandmother and Mom and had a lot of love that she gave you all.
Take care and know I am thinking of you all…
Love and a Hug to you all,
Judy

I remember Sylvia as my elementary sunday school teacher in Duluth. She was always proud that her son Eddie and myself were king and queen of the Ida Cook Hebrew School celebration. I will always remember her.
