As time passes I continue to remember Wally in many ways large and small. Almost every time I drive down Highway 113 and come up over the hill that looks out over the Waubun Valley and the sun is shining through the clouds I think of Wally. Sometimes it makes it hard to see because of the tears in my eyes. At the cabin on Tulaby Lake we still refer to tools we use as Wallys rope and Wallys logging chain and they get used every spring and fall.

I will miss my father. The long conversations at the dinner table. His unique view of politics in America. The barbecued ribs and great "Roasted Beast".

I am so sorry to hear of wally's passing. My prayers and thouths go to all. I remember the good ole days of meadow lane in Bensone several years ago and Mr. Wambach was a friend to all us kids. He was the ward Klever of our generation truly a great person.May the good Lord shone his light on all. Jeff

Wally was a man of many contradictions, and I loved him for it. I will always remember his being a stalwart champion of the little guy. Our own Don Quixote from NW Minnesota. I will truly miss him.
