Nanette Louise Tilkens

Tilkens, Nanette Louise (nee Boone) Age 51, ended her 7-month battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 13th at 1:05 AM. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Michael and 3 daughters, Sarah (James) Rogstad, Samara (Jeffrey) Postuma and Adrianne Tilkens; grandchildren, Brittany Reid, Michael Rogstad and Tyler, Madison and Henry Postuma. Also survived by mother, Barbara Boone; sister, Laurie Clark (Bruce Hahn); brother, Burl W. Boone Jr. (JoAnn); brother, Richard; sister, Janet (Eric) Ruechel and sister, Kim (Dale) Smith; mother-in-law, Mary Tilkens; sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Johnson, Sandra Johnson, Carole (Kevin) Carlson, Jackie (Harry) Barrett and Lynda (Jon) Dworak; 16 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents, Burl & Geraldine Boone, Milian & Viva Hallingstad; grandmother-in-law, Evelyn Massonet; father, Burl W. Boone Sr.; father-in-law, James R. Tilkens and niece, Melissa Dotterer. She spent many years as a volunteer in the schools and church and the Chamber of Commerce and also was a foster parent for eight children. She will be dearly missed, the love and devotion she has shown to her family is impeccable. She was one very remarkble woman. Nan is loved and missed by many and while we are sad to see her leave this earth, we are happy that there will be no more pain and she is at peace and at home with the Lord. Memorial service Monday, Dec. 17, 11 AM at Salem Covenant Church, 2655 5th St. NW, New Brighton. Interment Hillside Cemetery.
