Polly Ann Nelson Jones Polly Ann Nelson Jones, 76, born in County Line, Oklahoma, February 23, 1933 to Kern and Lula Dougherty went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, August 6, 2009. Polly was reared in Houston and graduated from San Jacinto High School and attended the University of Houston. She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Jones of Austin; her four beloved daughters and their families, Pamela and Phillip Mitchell of Eddy, Sheryl and Mark Slepicka of Colorado, Susan and Dennis Krumpfer of Temple, and Patti and Eric Kohlenberg of Sugar Land; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Wanda Jackson of Ohio; four nieces and nephews; and her step-children, Ryan and Terri Jones and Joanna Jones of Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband, Ward Boulet Nelson. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother, loved dearly by all of her friends and family. She was also retired from Camp Mabry where she worked for fourteen years. Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9th at Weed- Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home preceding the service. Pastor Lee Boss will officiate. Interment services will be in Houston at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10th.
