Lisha D.,
It's been almost three years now since God called you home but a lot of us still think of you down here on Earth. It's a little colder without your hugs, your hellos and goodbyes and your funny employee pages over Home Depot's intercom system (funny not too many people caught on to our inside jokes). Since the day you left to this moment, you were missed. We at HD were so proud when you were sworn in at the Sheriff's Department. I continue to remember you through the kind deeds and warm conversations that you always had with me and others and used that to inspire others as well as myself. In short, we miss you, we love you, but God loves you the most. Weeping will endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. My prayers continue to go out to the Davis family as well as friends. Hold on to God's unchanging hand, for it is he that will see you through. God Bless.

Lisha you were a friend, like a sister, and my motivation, to suceed, and be who I am today. I remember when we first met at Pat Thomas, and how quickly we bonded as friends. If there was one person I had pushing me foward to achieve, it was God's will in you to help me make it through. I pray daily and remember all the laughs we had together, and truly miss that wonderful smile in my eyes, and that crazy loud voice of yours in my ears. I know I had one true friend at Pat Thomas, and that was you. When they saw one, they knew to look for the other,ME!!! I couldn't have made it through without you girl. We made it toghter. Im currently a Deputy Sheriff in Jefferson County, and I made a promise to do my best and achieve the goals you pushed me to set for myself. I know your in heaven watching over me as I do so on these dangerous streets of life. I pray for your family, and kids to make it through this sad moment in life, but I remember in your words " TO EVERY STORM WE FACE IN LIFE, GOD HAS A SUNNY BEAUTIFUL DAY AWAITING FOR US IN THE END" You and others led me closer to God in my life, and I thank God for allowing me to know and always remember a special friend like you. I Love you and miss you! John

To the Family of LISHA DANIELS-DAVIS:

WHEN PEACE LIKE A RIVER ATTENDETH MY SOUL.......

Words cannot begin to express the pain and grief I feel at the untimely passing of my FRIEND who has touched my life and the lives of so many others in such a special way. I want Michael and Jasmyne to know that everything that Lisha aspired to be or do in life was due to their existence and her unconditional love for them. I will miss our many trips out of town to the Atlanta Classic and other events over the years, our many profound late night conversations, your zany slangs and sayings, outings to TopFlite, your support in all my endeavors and all the meals we prepared for each other in our prospective homes. My desire is that God will keep her family in his loving care and help them to reminisce on all the pleasantries that epitomized who Lisha was as an individual. LISHA, you will be truly missed by all who had the fortune of encountering your sweet spirit. LOVE ALWAYS!!

I have known Lisha from our high school days at RHS. I remember just last year speaking with her and how excited she was about enrolling into the Pat Thomas Police Academy. She had told me her career goals and she expressed a real desire to be a Federal officer. I am glad to know that she kept her mind on what she wanted to accomplish. She also express her love of GOD and how she praised him for what he had done in her life. I will miss her great smile and her wonderful sense of humor. To the Davis Family,

I can not say "I know what you're going through" because I haven't had such an experience, but I know that with God in your life and love in your heart, the void and pain placed in your lives will be soothed and filled. Even though times are hard and hearts are saddened, continue to trust God. The entire Davis/Daniels family will continue to be in my prayers throughout this time.

Rest In Peace Lisha, We loved you but God loved you best!

To the Davis and Daniels Families,

All of our heart felt sympathy goes

out to you and the children of Lisha

(Losha).

I met Lisha many years ago as a student at Sealey Elem. School. She wasn't one of my students, but we would interact with each other during my morning playground duty. She was a very talkative, happy

beautiful child, often referring to me as Mrs. Maddox.

Years passed and I didn't see her anymore until she started to attend our church, The Greater St. Mark P.B. Church. She approached me with that beautiful smile that God blessed her to wear, as I sat in church. She said, "Ms. Maddox do you remember me? I'm Losha, I'm Losha, Ms. Maddox!" Making sure that I remembered her. I will never forget that day for the rest of my life. After that Sunday she would make her way to me to say hi!. Lisha will be greatly missed for all of her wonderful and blessed

attributes. My prayer will be to our heavenly Father to take care of you and Lisha's beautiful children.

Lisha(Losha),

I miss your presence already.

Your memories I will always treasure. Loving you dearly and

forgetting "YOU" never.

Ms. Maddox

I pray that you gather strength to continue on and teach her children the love and ambition and drive their mother had.

To Ken and family: There is no soothing words to say that may bring you and your family comfort at this time of loss. I can say that God is a God you can lean and depend on for everything, they say you are not suppose to question God, but we all ask why when such tragedy takes place in our lives. It's ok to ask why, God understands and only he knows why. I pray you and your family will find comfort and peace in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can and will soothe your hurting hearts. Now is the time for you and your family to surround Lisha's children with love, care, patience, prayer, and understanding. They will need you all from now on. God will be there to guide them and he will be their source of peace; just encourage them in the Lord. May God bless you and the family, I pray that God will be gloried in this time of loss.

To the Children & Family of Lisha Davis:

My family is truly saddened by the umtimely death of "Sha" as we have come to know her. We had the opportunity to meet her several years ago through our daughter Harriett. It was a real pleasure knowing Sha over the years, for she had the sweetest personality and a beautiful smile to go with it. She was always a pleasure to be around. We were very proud to hear of her new career in the Law Enforcement.

Our deepest sympathy to the children and family, you are in our prayers. As for Harriett & Tawanza, continue to be strong in your faith, for God knows your heart, and he is forever in the healing business. Lisha and I were co-workers several years ago at Winn_Dixie on Paul Russell Road. I am so sad about the passing of Lisha, I admired her. She was very sweet and very pretty and she was happy all the time. The last time I saw her I was working at Publix and she was in uniform driving the Taltran bus.. I am happy she became a deputy, she always complished what she set out to do. She will be greatly missed, this was uncalled for, I know her family will keep Lishas' vibrant spirit alive for her children, and may they know in time just how wonderful their mother was...When I look at her smiling picture in the paper I think, " she was so sweet and so beautiful" Ill miss her.

I feel like Lisha lived each day to the fullest and she was happy with her life, she was always a happy young lady.. Ill keep her family in my prayers. May God continue to bless you all during these hard times ahead.. she'll be smilig upon you all..And with all these entries, you know Lisha was special and she was loved.. be proud of that! Bless you family and children..

Lisha graduated from the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement May 25th 2004 with over 40 other recruit/students. As a law enforcement recruit Lisha excelled in all areas of training. She had a strong desire to become a deputy sheriff and to help other people who may not be able to help themselves. If there had been an award for "Miss Congeniality" in Basic Recruit Class (BRC 281) Lisha would have most certainly won the award. Lisha was the kind of person that looked for the best in others and gave the best she had in return. May I express sympathy on behalf of the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy and BRC 281 to her children, family, friends and co-workers.

God Bless Lisha and her children. There will never be any words comforting enough to fill the hole that will be be forever in the kids and immediate family hearts. Please keep these kids in your prayers. Pray that they will find some type of peace as time goes on. Losing someone to violence is never an easy task to deal with, like my 3 kids who lost their daddy to gun violence; will one day be ok, if, they are surrounded with love, support and someone to hold them, someone to trust in, and someone to listen and only listen when they want to talk about losing there mother.
