To the Gallagher family... I'm so very saddened about pops... I know it hurts, no matter how much you try and prepare yourself. My sincere deepest condolences. I feel privileged to have known Jim, Sr. for nearly 30 years, and to have worked with him on the University of Miami shows and games. I am also privileged to know and work with Jim and Joe, who reflect the very best qualities their dad has passed down to them. My condolences to my friends Jim and Joe, and to Nan and the rest of the family as well.

Jim will be remembered as someone who was always smiling and positive, and one of the most respected and loved members of this community, and profession.

Heaven has a new house announcer.

Dear Joe and Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I know how much he meant to you, Joe (and I know your family was the same). You always talked about your dad with the highest respect and I can see others felt the same. To have that kind of love for someone is the greatest gift he could have left you. You will never loose that thanks to him. It's not only what we do in life, but how others remember us when we are gone. My prays and thoughts are with you! Love Kathy

Our entire family is extremely sad at the loss of Jim. A finer example of a life well lived and positive outlook we have never seen. The thousands he has touched and inspired by all the things he did for so many will be his legacy that all of you can be proud of as you remember this wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will truly be missed but never forgotten and we are extremely glad to have known him all these years.

My dearest Nan, - You have left a hole in my heart tonight with the news of Jim's passing. I can't imagine life on Earth without him, his jokes, or smiling Irish face. He has been a giant in this human race touching many, many lives along the way. God has a special place for him at his table and knowing Jim, he will be there with a microphone and a few jokes to tell Him. He had a blessed life with you, Jimmy, Joe, Kerry, Maureen, and Michael, as well as the grandkids. We all just lost him too soon. I wish you peace and loving memories of all our good times to get you through the rough patches ahead and know my thoughts and prayers are with you. My love to all, Martha

To the Gallagher family

My thoughts and prayers are with you today, Jim and I attended Tampa Jesuit together, I learned of Jim’s passing today from a friend in Tampa. I had not seen him in many, many years except on TV and that was at least 10 years ago, it is clear that he was a well respected broadcaster and family man, who will be missed by many.

To the Gallagher family;

I knew Jim for a long time when I was in High School and covering those High School games every Friday night. He was also such a passionate man caring about the community as he would always ask me about the Special Olympics games that were coming up and made sure that someone would cover the games or when there was a special intrest with one of our athletes. He also cover my speed skating days and we had a friendship when ever we saw each other we always talked about the good ole days. He will be missed and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank You Jim for all that you have done for me and our commuity
