Elbert Page Obituary

Elbert (Al) Arthur Page was called away on May 27, 2008 in his home in Winter Haven, FL at the age of 85. He was born on August 14, 1922 in Haverhill, MA.; his childhood town. After serving in World War II with the Merchant Marines, he settled in Hubbardston, MA to raise a family.

Elbert is survived by his loving wife Geraldine Mary Page of 63 years; sons, Edward, Gary, Charles, Brian and Joseph Page; daughters, Diane Venture, Patricia Terroy and Jacqueline Page. Elbert joins son Stephen and grandson Christopher leaving his legacy through 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Devoted to providing for his family, Elbert worked 28 years at R & A as a Master Machinist along with other trades as a security and animal control officer. Elbert was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Winter Haven and of Barre, MA. Elbert was and will always be known for his smile and love which he extended to all. His passion for life included dancing, traveling, golf and most of all quiet times with "his" Geraldine.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m on Saturday June 7, 2008 followed by a "celebration of life" reception in the Parish Hall at St. Joseph's on the Common, Barre, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the angelic team of caregivers who assisted Elbert and his family during his transition.
