William Bergstrom Obituary

William J. Bergstrom, 78, of Worcester of died Sun., July 6.

His wife of 39 years, Elizabeth I. (Nagle) Bergstrom died in 2001. He leaves two children, John F. Bickford of South Yarmouth and Maureen E. Sideris of Watertown; three grandchildren, David, Stephanie and Emily and nieces and nephews. A son Robert J. Bickford, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of William and Mary (Ford) Bergstrom and graduated from Commerce High School and served in the Massachusetts National Guard.

Bill worked for Mass. Electric Company for many years, before retiring. He was a member of St. Paul's Cathedral.

The funeral will be held Wed., July 9th, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A visiting period will be held Wed., July 9, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Caritas St. Elizabeth Medical Center c/o Oncology Dept., 736 Cambridge St., Boston, 02135. To place an on-line condolence, please visit.
