Daniel Bazinet Obituary
Dan was the sixth son of Edmond and Grace (Cove) Bazinet, both deceased, of Webster. He grew up in Webster, where he graduated from Bartlett High School in 1980. Dan studied mechanical engineering at both UMass Amherst and UMass Lowell and later graduated from Boston University with a degree in Computer Science. He worked as a software engineer for several high tech industry leaders, including GTE, Schlumberger, 3Com, and most recently, Marvell Semiconductor in Marlboro.
Dan was an avid hiker, cyclist, and nature photographer. He was an active member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and volunteered as a youth soccer coach and Cub Scout leader in Holden. Dan twice completed the Pan-Mass Challenge to raise money for the Jimmy Fund of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The family is particularly appreciative of the love and care extended by the AMC membership as well as his many neighbors in Holden who tirelessly cooked and gardened for both Dan and his family.
A service celebrating Dan's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will be private.
Donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Levine Cancer Center, (119 Belmont St., Worcester 01605), the AMC (5 Joy St, Boston, MA 02108), or the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice program 120 Thomas St., Worcester 01605.

My prayers go out to the Bazinet family. My sister Susan forwarded the news and I couldn't help but remember the good old days when I lived right next door and hung out with Dan, Tim, John, Chris and Greg back on Joyce St. I'll always remember little Danny on the trampoline and sledding down the back yard...We were very young and at the start of our lives. Those were precious days!!

Dan the Man! Our AMC adventures together will always be cherished. Dan always made the trips that much better with his witty style and sense of humor. Dan will be missed greatly. The world will be a different place without our special friend. Words can't describe the emptiness there is from losing such a good father and loving person. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dan's family and Pat. Stay strong Pat! You are an amazing women. Thanks to all who cared for Dan during his illness.

Dear Family, I have been thinking of you a lot lately and when Aunt Nancy called this morning, I knew why. I am so sorry to hear about Danny's untimely death. I have an intimate knowledge of cancer and I'd like to include a poem that I was given when I was diagnosed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Cove Bazinet families. When my sister Denise called to share this sad happening, it hit me hard. I went back to the days of Joyce St. and hanging out with the Bazinet boys. Those were the good old days!!
