Marguerite Plante Obituary

Marguerite M. (Gauthier) Plante, 92, has joined her husband on July 5, 2008. Her husband Marcel Plante died in 1991. She leaves three daughters, Theresa Boulanger of Worcester, Marguerite Pelletier & her husband Robert and Clemence LaMonda & her husband Lenard both of Spencer; six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren with two additional great great grandchildren due in 2008. She also leaves two close friends, Mary Salvo & Theresa Casey who were always there for Marguerite. She was born in St. Basile le Grand, Canada the daughter of the late Adelard & Alice (LeFebvre) Gauthier and has lived in Spencer many years.

The funeral for Marguerite will be held on Friday, July 11, 2008 from Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Spencer with a 10:00 AM Mass in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the St. Judes Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Spencer Rescue Squad, PO Box 746, Spencer, MA 01562.

How quickly the years go by. I've been thinking so much of you and Pepere and know that you both are looking over me especially during this holiday season. I can feel your presence in my heart and wish more than anything that I could turn back time and erase the errors our family has made. My greatest wish at this point is that when all is said and done, heaven will be a place for forgiveness and understanding. Merry Christmas to you and Pep. I love you both very much.

Memere, I've been thinking of you alot lately. I just wanted to share with you how greatful I am that you and I had time to talk before you passed away. It has brought me alot of comfort to know that this is what you truely wanted and desired. I'm very happy that you and I were able to talk about your feelings and how badly you missed pepere. I know that you are in a place that makes you very happy. That makes me happy. I've never been able to find comfort before when a loved one passed away, but I sit back and think about the things you told me and I think of it over and over in my head and I realize that you could not be any happier then you are right now. Thank you for sharing all your personal feelings with me. Although I miss you dearly, I am truely happy for you and pepere. I know that someday, maybe many years from now, I will be with you again.
As you would say, "Tanks God!"
So, until we are together again, I love you both and miss you very much. I hope that you both are looking down on me and my family. We love you and miss you and think of you often.

Saturday marked one year since you left to be with Pepere. Although I miss you with all my heart, it still feels like you are with me.

A month has gone by so quickly since our last visit.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

we've had so many great times. having lunch, family dinners, holidays, birthdays, and your cherry dilly bars! haha those were your favorite. You are one of the most amazing people I have ever met and I am so proud to say you were my memere. You proved the saying you just never know. I love you and miss you so much already.
