Stephanie, I am very happy I knew you through our junior and high school years. I remember when I first met you in 7th grade when we were science lab partners. Who knew you would accomplish so much so quickly in your life! I think about you and know you are enjoying the rest of life in a happier and more beautiful place.
Love,

God brings people in our life for a reason, a season and/or a lifetime. Stephanie did this to everyone that met her or knew her. She is a shining light where there is darkness, even now. Dear heavenly father, thank you for allowing Stephanie to touch the lives of those who knew her and met her. Her season in the sun has come and gone but her memories will live on in our lives. We thank you for blessing us with her presence. Your love and grace is ever lasting and so shall be the fond thoughts, the love and the memories of your beloved daughter. In Jesus name, A Men.
Mr. and Mrs. Hurley thank you for allowing the 149th Finance Detachment to share in the life of Stephanie. Please accept our condolences and may you enjoy all of God's blessings.

Chris and and Jimmy,
having our kids grow up and play ball together here in town (sometimes winning and sometimes loosing, but usually with you and your family's help winning more than loosing) we know all our kids had a lot of fun and you could tell Stephanie loved it too. We can't pretend to imagine your pain in loosing your daughter, and we've been crying all week since we heard. Your committment to the children to all of our kids here in Brookfield and the the times Stephanie was there helping them will never be forgotten. She will always be in our prayers.

2LT Hurley was a great Officer and wonderful person. I had the pleasure of working with her and getting to know her. My family will always remember her for one reason. While on a TDY mission my 8 month old daughter started to suck her thumb for the first time while at a unit dinner, and Stephanie who was sitting with us shared a story about herself and her own thumbs. I will always think fondly about Stephanie every time I see my daughter hook her finger over her nose as she goes to town on that thumb.
All my prayers to the family and friends of Stephanie from Billy, Gabrielle and myself.

I met LT Hurley during our military training to Italy. As an officer and as an individual she was truly genuine and caring towards myself and her soldiers. I remember how extraordinarily made sure we where taking care of, before, during and after Italy.
Please, accept my sympathy as I have no words to express my condolences for the loss of such a great friend, sister and daughter. May God comfort the Hurley Family during this difficult time.

Hurley family,
First I want to extend my thoughts and prayers with you in your time of need. I also wanted to tell you how well you did raising such a great person. I was one of her soldiers she took to Italy and I've been in the unit many years and went on many of those trips and I have to say she made it fun and relaxing. Unlike others, she stood up for us when needed and hung out with us on our off time. And I also had the opportunity to work with her in Recruiting and Retention and she was a great help. She was taking on a job of a higher ranking officer with no problems or complaints. She will truly be missed with her finance soldiers and of the Recruiting team.
God bless,
Nicole Martin

Hey LT,
it's me SFC Townesy your first Detachmeny Sergeant I never knew i would be writing this to you and your family. it was a ture pleasure to know you, and lead the Soldiers of the 149th (-) Fin Det to Italy and return back to Austin TX, i know i only knew you for a short period of time but, it was like you been in the unit as long as i been in the unit. our first mission was to take the 149th (-) FD to italy for our FY-08 AT. once we took control of this our mission you ensure our command that we had it under full control. the 20 Soldiers were in better hands then with there own mothers, you ensure that they were tranined, feed, rest and preformed PT everyday. they visit many part of europe, without anyone missing a meal, formation or rest. we spoke almost everyday about things to do to change the unit and make it better, and taking care of Soldiers the one's that belong to the unit and the one's that did not. you always spoke of you highly of your family and friends it's was like i knew them and never seen then, and when you became a aunt OMG you were so proud i think i was one of the first persons in Texas to see her, you love her so much and carried pictures of here her every where you went. i never knew Monday when i spoke to you it would be the last time we would talk. i will say i'm truly blessed to have know you and you part of my life, i will miss you deeply. the 49th FIN BN, and the Army has lossed one of the Best Officer i knew. May God Bless you, your family and everyone who has came in contact with you...
