Lorraine Leonard Obituary

Lorraine C. (Lemoine) Leonard, 88, of Auburn, died Saturday August 9th in the Life Care Center of Auburn.

Her husband, Martin J. Leonard died in 1956.

She leaves her children, Martin J. Leonard and his wife Josephine of Charlton, Sharon A. Thomas and her husband Dennis of Charlton, Thomas D. Leonard and his companion Carmen Cronin of Auburn, and Dennis J. Leonard and his wife Sharon of Holden; her brother, William Lemoine of North Grafton; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Kevin F. Leonard in 2003, and by her siblings, Dorothy Champlin, Norman Lemoine, Bernice Martin, Janet Hearn and Alma Rogers. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Norman W. and Ellen E. (Durkin) Lemoine and has lived in Auburn for many years. A longtime homemaker, Mrs. Leonard was a member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Auburn and its Catholic Women's League. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and enjoyed being a part of her families' lives and many activities.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lorraine's family on Tuesday August 12th from 5-8 PM in Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday from the funeral home with a funeral Mass celebrated at 9:30 AM in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Life Care Center of Auburn Activities Fund, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn or to Saint Joseph's Parish, 194 Oxford St., Auburn, MA 01501.
