Laurette Clemente Obituary

Laurette "Laura" (Gaulin) Clemente, 89, of Worcester, died peacefully Monday August 18, 2008 with her family around her in the Meadows Of Leicester. Laura is survived by her husband of 55 years, Matteo Clemente; a daughter, Donna Stewart and her husband Michael of Oxford; a son, Robert M Clemente and his wife Judith of Worcester; five grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Katherine, Heather, and Nicholas; a great granddaughter, Olivia, and great grandson Maxsim; many nephews and nieces; and one brother, Leo Gaulin. A brother Roger Gaulin predeceased her.

Laurette was born in Montreal Canada, daughter of Wilbrod and Marcellina (LaFleur) Gaulin, and with her family settled in Fiskdale. After her marriage Laura and Matteo moved to West Boylston where they resided for most of their lives. Laura was a graduate of Fiskdale High School, and worked for the West Boylston School Department for many years before she retired. Laura was a member of Our Lady Of The Angels Church, she enjoyed camping, trips to Florida, and being with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral Mass will be held Friday August 22, 2008 in Our Lady Of The Angels Church, 1222 Main St at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the VNA, 120 Thomas Street, Worc., MA. 01608 or Shriners Hospitals For Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Office of Dev. Tampa, FL. 33607-1460. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
