I was so sorry to hear of Al's passing. He was such a sweet man. I don't ever recall hearing him raise his voice even when we were swinging from the rails of the new bunkbeds on Dorothy Avenue. (I'm afraid my Dad wouldn't have been so restrained.)
It doesn't seem possible that three of that wonderful foursome are gone. From what my Mom and Dad said, the trips to the Cliff House began and ended with gales of laughter not to mention the countless get together's for dinner and bridge. How fortunate they were to have such a wonderful friendship that stood the test of almost fifty years (And in the case of my Mother and Al, fifty exactly.)
I know today is a difficult one. It's never easy to say goodbye to those we love. There is solice in being surrounded by a large and loving family and countless memories to conjure that will bring a warm embrace when you need it. Please know that my thoughts are with all of you on this sad day.
Love,
Marcia Mccauley

Sorry to hear about the loss of Al, he was a great mentor to me when we worked together on the BW newspaper. Al and Helen never missed a social get together at BW, and all enjoyed their presence. My prayers are with you and your family on the loss of a great gentleman. I was a former neighbor and also lived in Sudbury. Sincerely, L. and G. Bekampis
