George Pelchat Obituary

George H. Pelchat, Jr., 77, of 42 No. Spencer Rd., died Wednesday, Sept. 17 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill earlier in the day.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Dorothy B. (Laroche) Pelchat; a son, David J. Pelchat of Spencer; two daughters, Lynn C. Pelchat of Munich, Germany and Carol A. Walthers of Pittsfield, Me.; three grandchildren, Stephen Walthers of Pittsfield, Haleigh and Shane Pelchat of Spencer.

George was a journeyman plumber for F. Rivers & Son Plumbing of Spencer where he worked for more than 25 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138 American Legion and the Spencer Fish & Game Club. He was an avid outdoors man, and enjoyed his hunting trips to Maine and the Berkshires.

Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., he was the son of George and Agnes (Shields) Pelchat, Sr.

At his request no funeral services are planned. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made to the Spencer Fish & Game Club Scholarship Fund, Mechanic St., Spencer, 01562. J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements.
