Mary Fleming Obituary

Mary Immaculata Fleming, 82, of Worcester passed away peacefully, Friday, September 26th 2008 in the Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital Westborough.

Mary is survived by two brothers, John and Gerald Fleming; six nephews, two nieces and several cousins in the Worcester Area and Ireland. Two sisters, Theresa A. Fleming and Margaret M. Cleary pre deceased her. She was born in Worcester a daughter of John and Bridget (Finnegan) Fleming; she graduated from St. Stephen's High school and has lived here all her life. Mary worked more than 30 years for Crompton- Knowles Company before retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church. She had a strong Catholic faith that she passed on to her family. Mary loved cooking and dancing and her Irish Heritage.

Mary's funeral will be held Monday, September 29th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. with a mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 28th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester County Food Bank, 474 Boston Turnpike Rd, Shrewsbury 01545.
